Kali ini saya berkesempatan untuk eksplor gunung Batur dari sisi selatan, yaitu dari spot pandang Batur Geopark dengan drone Rajawali Krakatoa 7.
Gunung Batur terletak di propinsi Bali, kabupaten Bangli.
Memiliki ketinggian 1717 mdpl.

Super awesome video footage captured by your drone, covering the still active Mount Batur with its 3 separate craters & the whole valley, including the lake, which formed the caldera.
The aerial video footage magnifies a detailed & complete topographical picture of both the Batur caldera & the nearby volcano, Mount Batur. Only after viewing your video can I comprehend the size of the whole terrain encompassing the caldera & the volcano compared to the view seen from the ground many, many years ago when I visited Bali on vacation.
The size of Batur caldera, that is the lake (danau) & land mass of the valley surrounding the danau reflects the size & magnitude of the once active magma chamber deep below underneath the caldera and typical of magma chamber which form a reservoir full of molten rocks. Once all the lava have been totally vented out in a major eruption, the top soil that forms the chamber's ceiling & held up by the pressurised lava, will collapse down into the chamber causing (ambruk) the land above it to sink, forming the caldera. The same geological event also took place at Danau Toba in Sumatera, which is also a caldera & I've also visited. Though the Batur caldera is much bigger & more spectacular, especially with an active volcano, Moint Batur nearby.

A well planned & well executed video footage covering the whole caldera, its rim & the nearby volcano including the lava plateau formed by the lava flow from the last major eruption of Mount Batur, yplus you running commentary which was simple but full of historical& geological facts was magnificent! You did your homework on research of the volcano & the caldera.
