Glad to help, I searched all around youtube, could not find a previous video with all the specifics I covered on these 3 part videos, I am also an automotive technician, so I felt I needed to help others with this new transmissions servicing.
Exactly. Your videos are the only ones on YT that show people how to change gen 3 RDX transmission fluid. Do you think taking off the driver side front tire will make the process easier?
@@JL-yw3rf well yes, you can lift and remove tires, assuming your trans fluid is up to normal level and just needs to be replaced, just make sure to measure what you took out and replace with the same amount of the new trans fluid and you'll be good, otherwise follow the link I posted on comments for another guy's video showing how to check the fluid level once you replace it.
Instead of using the bolts to plug the coolant lines, can you pinch off the hoses with clamps? That is what I have done on my 2001 Passat oil cooler, but the hoses there might be softer/more flexible.
Yes, eventually that will make them prone to cracking because of the diameter size that needs to be compressed, but it works, I normally do it with brake lines that are thinner and will shut with little pressure
Thank you so much for your feed back, going to make it easier for you, this guy has a very good video on it, with all the torque specs on the video description, all I'll ask is for you to like my video in exchange, thanks Link: ruclips.net/video/qxxjLvqLcr4/видео.html

Great video, thanks for taking the time to share, I need to do this for my wifes RDX

Your positive feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Out of curiosity, what mileage did you change the fluid?
And what is the little paper filter called?

That is crazy!
Who do you need to disconnect the coolant lines from the trans cooler? Why can't you just leave them connected and pull the cooler off?
Probably because otherwise it would be hard to maneuver it around. It’s a tight space.
