Call Screen/Auto hold, pixel studio, and some of the processing for sharpness that they do after you snap the pictures. • @ArthurZakaryan23
      @ArthurZakaryan23 8 дней назад +4

      Yeah, the Pixel exclusive features like the Call Screen, Hold for Me, also for me, something that's really overlooked and undervalued is the Macro capability of the Pro phones. I've used my 8 Pro as a magnifying glass more times than I can count when trying to make out really fine print.
      I've never owned a OP phone and maybe the OP13's Macro capability is just as good if not better but how well it works in the Pixel Camera app, how effortless/seamless it is, just really takes it over the top for me. Also the 30X manual zoom of the 8 Pro for me is quite usable and again I've used this to make things out from a long distance, more as a telescope, more times than I can count. I'm also a big fan of the stock or Google Android software experience. Don't get me wrong, the slick design of Oxygen OS and OP's relentless nature to make it the fastest and smoothest skin in the Android game is very much appreciated and admired but getting first dibs on all things Android, as Google intended it, is something that draws me to a Pixel more than any other Android phone and why I don't see living the brand anytime soon.

    • @TheMukaila
      @TheMukaila 8 дней назад +1

      @ArthurZakaryan23 I agree with a lot of your points. I also use zoom just to make stuff out as well. The OnePlus macro works pretty well. But like you said being able to get the latest features early is a nice draw. But on the other side, sometimes Google takes forever to add features that have been on Samsung and OnePlus forever. Like we just now got 80% charging and more streamlined multitasking.

    • @ArthurZakaryan23
      @ArthurZakaryan23 8 дней назад +1

      @TheMukaila I definitely agree with you that Google is rarely first to introduce a new feature and many of the things they've been adding lately have either existed in other Android skins or iOS but I don't feel generally I'm left lacking in some significant way to those other OEMs that I'd consider a move to one of them or maybe I've been conditioned now to using a Pixel that I know what I have and what I don't, probably a bit of both of those.

    Could just be me, but in almost every photo/video you showed, I prefered the higher contrast and punchier colours to the washed out and muted look of the Pixel. And I'm definitely preferring the shots from the OP13 to the S24 Ultra it's replacing. Whatever they've done with Hasselblad these last few years of their partnership, I think it's paying off. It does have a tendency to overexpose a little though. I've found myself manually pulling down the brightness now and then to capture what looks good to my eye. But that's subjective.

    The problem with Pixel phones is that a lot of apps are (still) optimized for Snapdragon chips, and not for Tensor.
    One can see that e.g. when comparing scrolling performance of Firefox browser on Snapdragon vs Tensor phones ...
    the Snapdragon version gives a better user experience, even with both phones on 120 Hz.
    Sure, Chrome (and Chromium based browsers in general) run smooth on Tensor, because it is Googles in-house browser (engine).
    If you want to support open Standards and choose Firefox as a browser for that reason, you unfortunately get inferior user experience on tensor.
    Maybe Ryan Thomas could include this kind of comparison in future videos?

    Love the phone feel premiumly built better than iphone pros no doubt about it.especially this hazel color absolutely banger.
    Just one concern from pixel device no option to switch between front and back cameras in video mode . U can only select one either front or back. It's just sad that they didn't fix it even in Android 15 update.
    Ofcourse u want to capture yourself too if you're shooting from rear cam.
    Also one major disappointment while it shoots phenomenal videos and photos absolute beast ,Must say but while uploading on social media instagram or WhatsApp my 7.5 or 8 mb photo compressed down to 1 mb or even lesser when uploaded on instagram. They need to fix this asap what's the point of having such amazing beast cameras and not able to upload them in the same size and quality. I'm not gonna watch them in my laptop I'm not an editor or blogger. I need to upload them in the same quality that is just bizarre in my opinion . I don't know about other phones but i think iphone users do get same size on social media . Any iphone pro user pls confirm? Spending 1 lakh 12 thousand on a phone but unable to maximize it's quality that's just hurting.

    Here's the thing - the current Tensor chips perform worse than the Apple chips from 2020. There's absolutely no way in hell that anyone with any semblance of common sense would pay for a device that's atleast 4 years behind the competition in terms of performance. And no amount of software experience can make up for this disaster. The "7 years" of software upgrades are pointless when everyone damn well knows these phones would not be usable for 7 years with this hardware. And the worst thing about it all is that Google is charging the same as Apple and Samsung for a phone that's competing with the hardware of Apple and Samsung flagships from 5 years ago. And the whole point of making those in-house chips was to keep the costs down but I guess that wasn't for the customers Lol. You want more flexibility from a phone if you're paying 1k+ for it. You want it to be more than a casual Instagram machine.
