Plaacido is performing as a baritone in this piece. It was by invitation of Placido who was introduced to Dimash by his grandson and Placido became a fan of Dimash. Dimash was invited to this Virtuosos competition for young people in classical music as a fellow judge and Placido Domingo asked him to perform with him in a duet. Dimash was invited to join the Astana Opera when he was 18 but he politely declined to persue his own path so this way of singing is nothing new for him. Dimash has the greatest vocals on the planet and Placido was just as honoured to sing with him. Still in his 20s, Dimash will dominate world music in his own time, but I am sure this collaboration will be a great addition to his CV ❤

Impressive indeed. Dimash was offered a tenor post at the Astana Opera fresh out of university where he was classically trained, but Dimash turned it down to pursue his own musical journey. Thank God he did, because how else would we, worldwide Dears, would ever get to know this once in a thousand years voice? Placido was one of the original 3 tenors which Dimash had dreamed since childhood to one day collaborate with. This was a huge dream come true for Dimash. Only love and respect for Dimash❤

He learned about Dimash through his grandson and upon meeting Dimash announced he wanted to sing a duet with Dimash. They had like 2 practices😳 Dimash is actually singing the lyrical tenor part but is singing in classical Bel Canto style, very covered , round and full, which makes it sound deeper than it really is.

In Classic Opera, one has to sing the notes as they were originally written. If you are singing the Temor as Demash is doing and Placido is singing the Baritone.

Dimash is actually singing the lyrical tenor part but is singing in classical Bel Canto style, very covered , round and full, which makes it sound deeper than it really is.
He maintains the notes because the operatic genre requires it. He can't improvise and invent notes that aren't prescribed by the piece.
Imagine if Dimash could go back in time and sing with all three Tenors.😊
