Hey! There is an easier way to do this depending on the level of focus in your video. You could keep the video, duplicate the footage, remove the background and keep the textual layer in the middle. Same thing less work, less storage space being used!

Good question. It's free (I use the free version), so test it out for yourself and see if it makes sense and does what you need. Both are great apps.

Worked a little and kind of didn’t. For some apparent reason when I clicked on remove bg (yes I did the exact steps), It would just remove the whole overlay… When I did custom cutout and cut it out, CapCut was buggin and when I did it, yes the text was behind the object but somehow the outline still showed…?

You can remove for free. Make sure you’re not using another pro feature if it’s asking you to upgrade.

Dee, I have a video started in Imovie and I can't do the things I want to do. Can I export it and import it to Capcut? I want to learn Capcut. It looks fun. All my videos are created on mt iphone, is that ok?
You have two options:
1) Start over in Capcut
2) Render out whatever you have worked on in iMovie and import that into Capcut and take over from there.

Unless they changed it today, it’s not a pro feature. Double check your settings. I don’t pay for CapCut.
