One day after I took out some chowman I had overnight and when I was about to put them in the microwave.......I stood there and ask myself....this is going to taste like crap and not heated evenly isn't it......................... and then I started heating up my pan and reheat with it instead.......since then other than when I need to defrost meat, I don't use microwave at all.
You are right the chow mein will not reheat evenly in one go. So you might needa reheat the chow mein at shorter intervals and toss a little in between intervals. But not using the microwave is a good alternative too 😉

我的微波爐本來只用來翻熱食物，但最近開始用來叮大地魚乾，味道超大。試過各種方法，還是用梳打粉開熱水清潔微波爐最有效。一些有香味的清潔劑不單不能完全清除異味，反而清潔劑味道與原來異味混合，成為新的異味。但用梳打粉切記不要開太濃，因為清潔後會殘留白跡，非常麻煩。
直接用半個檸檬放落去微波爐叮1分鐘就可以

市面上有部分焗爐有高溫清潔功能, 個d就真係清完好似新既一樣, d油跡會直接燒到變碳粉, 一抹就甩

其實每次焗完肉類後，趁仍有餘溫用熱毛巾抹去油脂，清潔就很容易了。
我個焗爐有啲油污滲左入玻璃面夾層裡面，點樣清潔到呢?求指教!
