Spent 3 days and finally got a bite. Lasted 20 min and at 20 feet from my boat he bolted 280+ feet and snapped my line. I didn't give up, left that server and went to another one. 8 hours same spot and no bite. Someone boats next to me and get it within 30 min. Honestly done with this game because of that. The RNG is terrible and it's a waste of time. Back to The Fisherman I go. Good luck with the game though, Call of the Wild: Arcade RNG Edition.

That’s quite literally how fishing works in real life…. Imagine playing a sim game and complaining it actually simulates life….. and how do you know that person hasn’t been hunting that fish for hours on end and just switched servers themselves? It just sounds like you have zero patience to try and catch a once in a life time fish in real life…… you gave up after 8 hours meanwhile people in real life go 60-70 years waiting to even see a fish like that lol hell there are people in the game who spends months on end doing hunts for specific fish that aren’t even legandray they just want diamond 💀

Finally caught him last night was so happy 55lb line after 4 hours of searching and no luck I left for a few came back about an hour later gave it one last try before going to bed last night ended up hooking him on the same 4/0 jig with the worm. Was holding jig the whole way down and reeled in at 3x while jigging the whole time I was reeling in.

just caught him in multiplayer. took 35min 39sec to reel in. weighed 110.69lbs. 22.09lb line too. im still shaking lol. 111,778 points
I’ve never been into fishing but I went yesterday and caught my first fish and then I binged watched all biggest fish caught on RUclips and now I’m into video game portion of fish so thanks for the video I’m about to watch it and try to do it but I just started it
I'm lvl 32 seen a guy catch him showed up with my 33 pound setup and had him to the boat in 24 minutes

@ScarecrowTheHunter no luck yet, I wonder if anyone on console has been able to snag him yet. Farming lake trout, tons of cash/xp got 3 diamonds. One was right over 50lb. Until I started going after the lake trout I hadn't caught anything over 20lb
@ScarecrowTheHunter I found him, got him to the boat, he ran me out of line I think if not snagged on a rock or something around 230ft I thought it was. Even tho I had 260 something ft of line, and snapped 55lb fluro, 🤷♂️ was happy to have encountered him. I think I'm gonna go outside now lol😅 level 0 to like 45 in about about a week. Those lake trout are awesome

Just caught my first diamond last night. About a 9 1/2 pound large mouth bass. Hooked it 10 ft from the boat with a size 6 frog lure.
My buddy caught that today after 3 days of trying hard for it. Took him 15 minutes to reel in but he did it!
I caught him on the DLC Gilgamesh rod with the 39 lb braided, and the mediator reel. Only took 24 minutes to reel him in. Just be patient with him. Let him take out line and keep the tension on him. Don't pull back on rod at all. Just reel in and adjust tension as needed. Eventually he'll tire out and you can reel him right to the boat. Only when he is reeling in at a constant pace do I pull back on rod to bring him in. He likes to tease you though. Right when you get him to the boat, he will peel line out again. I got him on the second reel in.
Also, because I used a weaker setup, I got a 79,364 xp score. It pays more to use a weaker setup, and it doesn't take hours.
What's the lightest line he was caught on?
I literally watched your video and my buddy and I went into GRR...no joke I had Sidewinder in my net within 15 minutes of spawning in. Very first try of going after him. Used the worm.

Spent 4 hours to catch a 50kg sidewinder on 20kg line took 16 minutes to land him

The lack of animations and water movements in this game is shamefull for a fishing game, they need to improve that ASAP

I think the reason it takes you so long to catch fish is because you constantly reel, I’ve noticed when the fish try to run hard it only lets out more line when you try to reel against it. I try to just hold the reel up when they run and when they’re done you can drag them up much faster.

You know precisely what rig to use.

This knowledge has been compiled by people getting out there, finding his locations, And learning what he likes over the course of months. It was not like this when he first released as no info about him was known. Its all info the discord community has compiled together to help everyone out in finding him. The primary challenge with him is the weight and strength of the fish. Along with even just hooking him in the first place as he has a very large patrol range in those 4 locations. Even tho he has set locations he can roam thousands of feet around them. Some people fish for days and never hook him while targeting specifically him like I was. I spent his last rotation looking for hours and never found him. I got very lucky this time as i got him 30 minutes after going to the general area. Think of it as a local fish story type of thing. "Some locals saw a giant lake trout unlike any other moving at the speed of sound. This was where they saw him! Go try to get him"

Out of all the legendary fish, which ones would you say were the easiest to catch?
Easiest to reel in would be Store henrik & Goldstein. Easiest to find would be Speilfinne as he tends to be at the surface

I got the legendary Atlantic last night and apparently they have different weight’s because my was 80.85 pounds I think and the one crow and brobruh got was like 85:35 I think
