    he wanted a salary instead of being paid by his sponsors, its fair, the indy 500 win somehow saves what he has done at cgr, not the best results but in terms of teams you dont want to leave ganassi for andretti for sure. On the other hand its crazy knowing Grosjean and him will be teammates, who would have told you that a couple of years ago hahaha

      His sponsor, Finn Rausing told him at the beginning of the season that he wasn't going to be backing him anymore after this year, and the intent with Huski was for the development of additional businesses to defray the costs of sponsorship. However, Huski Chocolate and the Ice Spritz products aren't compelling enough to US distributors and retailers to pick them up, despite demand from IndyCar fans.

    I think the ‘mistake’ is being made by GANASSI. How do you let Ericsson go???

      When did I miss Ericsson being a dominate driver? Palou is about to be the 2 time champion and has won 2x more races? Ericsson has Indy, which is nice and all but he isn't an elite driver IMO.

    • @pguth98
      @pguth98 11 месяцев назад +5

      @@anubiam3004 He's not "elite," but he's certainly not bad by any stretch of the imagination. He had a podium finish in his rookie season with Schmidt Peterson, and has won several races. Under the right circumstances, he's a championship contender, and even when he isn't? He gets good finishes, and doesn't destroy equipment. I'd say CGR is losing out by letting him go.

      Because Ganassi is confident that he invests a lot of money in putting good cars on track, year on year, so any good driver on them can win. And the record shows he is right.

    Grosjean has been given many opportunities to win races with Andretti. He’s been the problem more than Andretti Auto sport has been.

      I agree with you Marcus drives smart and takes care of his car he knows how to finish races he beat Pato at St Pete this year by putting pressure on him and Pato made a mistake. in my eyes Marcus is a much stronger driver than Romain. Marcus did get some lucky break wins but he put himself in position to win those races.

      andretti is garbage. value for money spent is the lowest. always making the wrong call in qualy, in the race. their drivers make them look better than they are but neither herta or grosjean can overcome it and both have been horrible enough to fire (and good enough to keep) though ericsson is slower. andretti is the amazon of motorsport. ericsson will get his money and why not, he's not elite and was going nowhere at ganassi so might as cash in now before he's one of those old drivers that rumbles into the top 10 every once in awhile.

      @@anubiam3004I’m assuming Andretti will get the F1 team they have already started to build and Marcus could move right over.

    • @robdin81
      @robdin81 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@JacobTerherstI believe any F1 team would not choose Ericsson and I believe Ericsson knows that too. He was thoroughly beaten by Leclerc, so much so that the Swedish owner, at the time, got rid of Ericsson. Herta certainly has a chance and the second seat will either be a current F1 driver or a F2 driver. I think Logan Sargeant has a bigger chance than Ericsson.
      But that is said on the assumption that Andretti gets a F1 team license and looking at how F1 (different from FIA) is not keen on more teams it is not very likely they will be given a F1 team license. They would have an higher chance of joining F1 if they try to take over an existing team (eg Alpine or Haas, but both teams are not known to be for sale)

      Not impossible to imagine CGR having nobody return next season. Dixon could retire any moment, Palou seems to be looking in all directions at the same time and no Ericsson. Has Marcus Armstrong done enough with very limited experience to earn a full time seat?

    • @danielhenderson8316
      @danielhenderson8316 11 месяцев назад

      Ganassi is running Palou, Dixon, Linus Lundqvist, and Marcus Armstrong is driving full time instead of road course only. Andretti is at Herta, Kirkwood, and Ericsson and might drop the 4th car.

    • @robdin81
      @robdin81 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@anubiam3004in F1 there is a saying "it is much easier to make a fast driver become consistent then make a consistent driver fast". Herta is fast and at times was much faster then the rest of the field. For instance the time he got pole and the 2nd fastest driver was almost half a second slower. These performances have a bigger impact on F1 team bosses then winning the IndyCar championship.

  • @black_sheep2520

    The problem is Kirkwood, Herta, and Grosjean have more raw speed than Ericsson.
