I like how you use lighting, and how light is an important part of the gameplay. Do you remember Ravenholm and Father Grigori in Half-Life 2? One of his scriptures said, "For it was said--they have become light: these peculiar daemons which dwell in matter, but in whom no light may be found."

My favorite thing about this channel is that the person who plays these games, plays them smart.
It really shows on so many levels. For instance in this video at around 4min. He hears the monster sob and before making another step, the player checks which locker is accessable.
Being prepared and being aware of your surroundings is super important in these games and the Alpha Beta Gamer is just very good at it.
Meanwhile some players repeatedly use the same tactics while expecting a different result

I like it when main character isn't completely helpless against monsters. She can struggle against them a bit
looks promising. The pixel art and general aesthetic are well done. digging the save room music. overall, it reminds me of The Coma 2, and I loved that game. I'll keep an eye on this one.

This is giving me some nice memories of Lone Survivor. Not sure if anyone else has played that, though.

I'm seeing just a bit of Silent Hill influence in this game, but it's definitely it's own thing. I'm very impressed, and I've already wishlisted it on Steam. Lots of luck to the developers!

Reminds of Mirror Layers where you use stuff one world to use in another.
The use of light in this game is impeccable, and really emphasizes on how light won't always mean safety.
Bonus points for the atmosphere too, very tense!

Her animation when stop running, the sound effect and transitions between rooms, the color palette... it's so Silent Hill, so cool!

Kind of reminds me of the fluidity of the original Prince Of Persia
I played that on Apple IIe (like at the relevant time of, not just recently or anything) and the animation was BONKERS compared to other games, it was unreal.
The sound design in this game is killer, it complements the visuals so well.

Hand movement needs to improve, otherwise it's a very detailed game with a fascinating storyline. I don't like the fake retro stlye (pixels and HQ images) personally, but that doesn't change anything. It is cool! The ingame character and the text-box face are in the same position (up, down) which is also cool. It contains 3D, so the game is a cross-design one. Brave move.

I prefer horror games in 2D. I think 2D has a detailed view of the environment that generates more immersive experiences than 3D. For example, from 2D itself (such as Super Mario and Donkey Kong of Super Nes) to "fake 3D" (still 2D, as Resident Evil 1-3 and Silent Hill 1-4, Playstation 1 and 2).
Now I want to replay Lone Survivor.

Reminds me of Worse than Death, Detention, and there is a Flash animated rare gem on Newgrounds called Good Night by Cory Choy. It also giff a vibe of Gemini Rue as well. This is all a good thing. I hope the creator is able to complete a full version.
