Wow!!!! This is going to be SO much easier than I ever expected for my fabric bins!!!! I was given the bins and they have never coordinated with my taste OR decor. In a few months (when I finally get organized & uncluttered) I will be moving to my sons home and now more than ever-- I’m excited to finally be able to have a living space that I will LOVE to be in!!! At this point... my bins are black & orange (UGH!!!) and I have heavy cotton duck material in a very tiny country blue & white check to cover them now that I know how easily it will be!!!! Thank you!!!!
Something I do.... I keep all my amazon boxes and make my own bins amd recover them with fabric. Walmart also has the cardboard file boxes with lids. I also recover those for cute storage.
NonLabel Label!!!!! A whispering reminder, not a blaring billboard. ✨ L O V E ✨ This is so much more than simple aesthetics. It teaches the user attention and 'seeing.' (Visitors, likely, have no clue.) Lol 😆
I have been wanting to do this to my daughter’s storage boxes for about a year. Finally got round to researching how to do it. This is a brilliant tutorial, thank you so much!
Thank you - I have painted bins before but they take alot of paint and the ones I need to recover are black so painting would be really hard. Thank you thank you - you saved me a ton!
They should hold up, sometimes even better if strong. However, some cube boxes can be folded flat for storage by a bottom zipper and measure to fit inside cube shelves exactly. You will probably want to line the inside of the cardboard boxes. They will not fold, and are good for non-divided shelves.
I've wondered about that too...maybe former Amish, or in a community/family with those connections/influences? It sounds so similar to other Amish I've heard.
@@tiffanydula8855 Interesting, I don't think I've ever heard an Amish person speak. Well, maybe a few in a documentary, but I don't remember an accent.
You can get this size of bins from many places. IKEA has them probably the cheapest you can also get them from Walmart, Target even Amazon you just have to pay attention to the size of the bins. They are approximately 13 x 13 not exactly but close to that size
@@RealMomRealSolutions Are your bins 13x13x13? Or 13x15x13? The cubes I purchased at IKEA were 13x15x13, but most of the cubes I've bought on Amazon are 13x13x13. Thanks for the great video!
Wouldn't it be easier to start and stop at a corner edge, then all four sides would be available to use? Love this idea to make individual fabric for each room or child.
Thanks for the tip! I homeschool and use the bins for school work and books. I use these cubbies in my pantry...so versatile.
I'm so cheap I would only do the front of bin. This is a wonderful idea!! It looks really nice!

Thank you. It's been tedious trying to find bins to match my decor. This is a perfect solution.
This is such a great idea! I've spent so much money repurchasing storage bins once they start getting dirty or no longer match my decor. 😫
Microfiber cloth, well dampened with vinegar and a couple drops Blue Dawn dish soap, cleans those bins up, in one quick scrub. :)

@@erikal5218 that's genius! This is the solution I was looking for while watching this video. Mine are all old and dusty
Great video! I’m a mother of 5 and like cool ways to be practical!
Puff paint on the ribbon is smart!

Great job on the bin but I am most impressed by the fact that you can sit in that position for 10+🤣🙌🏾

Great idea! Thank you for sharing. 🙂
Great tutorial! Thank you for doing this video. 😄👏
I know what I’m going to do this afternoon! 😉
What do you think about using cardboard boxes and then recovering them to match? Do you think they would hold up as well?
As long as there hard enough, those storage bins r practically cardboard w/fabric anyways.

It's a Utah accent ❤
Are your bins 13 x 13 x 15"?
How much fabric do I get for each bin ?
57 inches
16 inches wide
You should do a grocery haul
Can I put these in the washing machine to clean them
Of you only put clean stuff (clothes) inside, why would you wash them?
Where do you purchase the bins?

Ummm ummmm ummmm ummmm ummmm ummmm ummmm 🤨
Please break yourself of the habit saying “um.” It’s distracting & doesn’t present you at your best.
That’s unnecessary. I hope no one nitpicks you for your colloquialisms.
I actually did not even notice her saying ummm. Plus, it's just rude to point it out. I will pray for you.
