LOVE IT! Thanks to Ash for visiting us in this video. Twice! Ash is always a welcome addition.
I wonder if a enamel white paint for the background would have been better to make the strings pop even more?
You could title it Ling Ling's Old Violin Strings. Or, perhaps it's an accumulation of Brett Yang's worn out strings from practicing Mendelssohn for 40 hours a day for months before the SSO concert last week. LOL.
Your talents never cease to amaze. Thanks for sharing.

I love it! If it is for sale please let me know. I would call it "10,000 hours" to represent the practice these strings represent. (And also the semi-mythical amount of time it takes to master something.)

I have no idea what I could charge for something like this. 😉

Hehe, I don't know if prints would do it justice, the fact that it's 3D adds a lot to the 'experience'.

That is so cool! I'm surprised the colored ends of the strings don't show up more, but maybe it appears more colorful in person. I'm not a Pollock fan, but I like the violin strings a lot more! I'm definitely not creative in naming things, but my first thought was Sonata No. whatever about half a second before you said "sonata" and then changed your mind:-D

I was expecting the ends to be more colorful too, but I think because they are natural silk, they absorbed the epoxy and that made them look darker. That's my theory. 😉
The artwork does have a lot more color in person, though, and another thing the camera can't properly convey is the depth it has.
