I love your reviews on Chinese cars while doing it in China. Many Chinese cars are catching up to the Japanese and European brands. They are now indeed a good and way cheaper alternative than the usual Japanese or European makes.
Watch how Chinese, South Korean BEVs and Teslas now will ravish the entire US, European and Japanese legacy auto industry. And countries like Vietnam (Vinfast), Turkey (TOGG) are producing BEVs because of that, too.
With the alarming exploding EV’s in china, i wonder if chinese will go back to internal combustion soon 😅 had no clue byd EV’s will combust after a slight collision
China, the world's largest single market, with sales equal to the sum of the United States, Europe, and Japan, has no market competition restrictions. In order for manufacturers to survive, both quality and price are essential, as lacking either will result in elimination.

I think this was already launched in the Philippines as Jaecoo brand.. I wonder how it is doing? For the price this is gonna sell like wildfire, looks better than the grand Vitara for example
I try the 4 off road all wheel drive. It come with a compromise on the comfort of suspensions. But I was impressed by the off road capabilities of this small compact SUV cross-over car. I got the feeling of a Suzuki Jimny packed with nice options. Another more off road variant has bean announced and if we want more comfort the Tiggo 9 with CDC suspension system is the right choice. Is the 2024 the year Chery become good? It seam the PHEV of this new line up are coming soon with the T9 and other variant. It is impressive.
It's about to launch as the Jaecoo J7 here in South Africa 🇿🇦. The first shipment has arrived and i believe the order book is open at Chery dealerships. Looks nice. Chinese brands are providing great value for money and posing a serious threat to the traditional Japanese, Korean and German brands in South Africa. Thanks in part to a subdued economy, the German luxury 3, Mercedes, BMW and Audi have seen their sales shrink by half in the past 5 years. The Chinese are filling that luxury gap with their reasonably priced offerings, even though they aren't perfect. It's scary to think just how far inroads they've gone in literally just a couple of years. The motor industry is a significant contributor to our GDP (The likes of Toyota, Isuzu, Nissan, Mercedes, BMW, VW etc have manufacturing plants here) one hopes the proliferation of Chinese brands won't kill all those jobs in South Africa. Anyway, always enjoy your reviews dude!
China is already building factories in Brazil. If the demand takes off Chinese companies would also build factories in South Africa and hopefully create South African jobs
Interesting i like drain pocket but what if there was locker for rain coats with air vent to dry coats quickly? Like tissue feature, why not first aid kit like MB?
I have never seen this brand disappointing about the performance of this engine really in accordance with the power output on this car, unlike the haval h6 2.0 turbo engine, the power from the specifications looks great power, but after trying it directly does not match what output it has, the acceleration is more or less similar to this car
I actually don’t mind the design, it’s good for a Chinese car. But in the UK it will be called Jaecoo 7, and that’s a horrible name. I think it will be held back by that. Hopefully it will be cheap.
it will not be cheap, duh, with 20k euro tag this thing would kill the european car makers by a large margine, this thing will be tarrifed like hell and will be selling for 34.000 euroes

I keep thinking the same thing. I hope they realize that this is a compliment: we really want to see more of these people and cars! They do really good work.
I appreciate the idea that you want to see more of our content, thank you! Unfortunately, we usually don't have a great deal of time to review a car. In the case of launch events like this, it's only a single day, during which we have to try and maintain the same level of quality that we provide when we are able to borrow a car for a whole week. The video could be longer, but quality would suffer. There's also the matter of having to edit and release a video each week. The longer the video, the longer it takes to edit, the less likely we are to be able to keep pace. A major key to growing an audience on RUclips is consistency, so there have to be compromises. We have a single, very talented editor, and he already works overtime to make sure our videos make it out on time and at high standard. We could hire another editor, but that costs a lot of money... There's an even bigger factor at work as well, which is that we don't just produce content in English. We also make weekly short and long-form videos in Chinese for Chinese platforms. That means our workload is larger than most automotive channels. Sorry for the long reply, but I often see comments like yours, and I wanted to give you a genuine answer as to why it's a bit more complicated than it sounds!
