This game is heaps of fun, and it's only going to get better. The community is filled with DRG players, so you get a lot of that level of friendliness in your matches. Occasionally someone takes it too serious, but most people are there to quote movie lines and bask in the chaos. 10/10 would recommend.

In the movie the bugs didn't actually climbed the wall (not like ants or spider in our house), lol, they actually just hop onto at the friend bug's corpses to the top (Do you remember World War Z ?). The land type bugs are not climber. Remember they have flying type bugs in the movie. As far as i know it was only the flying type, there were no climber type. 1. Juvenile Warriors Bug - These bugs are smaller and have a weaker shell than the adults. Ground Type. 2. Warrior Bug - The most common Arachnid. These service as the main bulk of any invasion force. Ground Type. 3. Tiger Bug - This species is a sub-variant of the Warrior with much tougher armor making it a more deadly threat. Ground type. 4. Royal Guard Bug - A verocious variant of Warrior Bug. These deadly bugs are commonly encountered defending colonies with either a Brain bug or Queen bug. Ground type. 5. Hopper Bug - A bug capable of flight. These bugs pounce upon targets of opportunity from above. flying type. 6. Ripper Bug - A suicidal flying bug. ofc flying type. 7. Scorpion Bug - These large Bugs fire deadly Plasma from their tails which is capable of crushing bunkers. Ground type 8. Plasma Grenadier Bug-These are effective mobile artillery plasma bugs, but lack accuracy. Ground type 9. Plasma Bug - These huge bugs are are used as heavy artillery capable of providing fire support on the ground, as well as firing at ships in space. Ground type 10. Tanker Bug-A large deadly bug that spews orange-ish fiery acid from its mouth. Ground type (etc. So many else) Some of them already in this game, but some others i hope they go for them too soon. I want to see the other planets mission as well (Klendathu, Planet-P Venta Monis, the watery planet Hydora, Tophet, Tesca, Zephyr, and also on Planet Earth mission)
This game gets most fun when there is everyone saying quotes and enjoying the game through laughter and panic screaming in the distance. They are all doing their parts.
This game is literally the funniest thing I have played in a while. The amount of people who just start playing mariachi music in voice chat and start charging the arachnids head on is insane
The bugs will eventually get over the walls if enough bodies pile up and is actually a problem on higher difficulties and horde mode if nobody removes the corpses before they get too high.
Not played a fps since Battlefield 2 and 2142 all those many years ago. I'm having a blast. Only tried the support class which I like and the bastion. The 2nd gun has a kickback that only the world's strongest man could handle, it's mad. Teams have been ok so far. The Mobil infantry made me the man I am today.

Also, as a heavy you have the ability to build a shield wall around you. Just press C and you will see. In your video at 9:13 you can see player Thiccc having the wall deployed. It works pretty much like with a siege tank. Once you activate it, you can not move but it is really hard to kill you. Also, you get much better accuracy with the heavy guns. If somebody drops an ammo pack into your fence, you become an immovable object. Of course, unless blasted by the artillery bug.
The blue explosions are extremely important. You got to understand that the artillery bug can instakill anyone anywhere. So you want to have a clear indication that it is no longer live. So as much as it looks strange, each time I see a huge blue explosion I feel much safer.
The normal explosion and the blue explosion was designed to make them feels more closer to the movie version. The whole thing was supposed to make players can feel like inside the classic Starship trooper movie. Not always has to be super duper over the top. The feels of the classic i like more.

I've been playing this since release. I haven't played a FPS in a long time cause I hated all the people cheating 10 years ago. But this game is right up my alley. I just suck at the aiming part and my arms like to go numb after pressing keys for longer than 20 seconds which was another reason I stopped playing any game that was keyboard intensive

To make it feel that the exploded plasma bug and it's plasma attack to be not part of human world. The whole thing was supposed to make players can feel like in the classic movie. I dont think all bugs should climb because that would make the building mechanic pointless if they just go over walls. I can see if they added a climber type bug. But i really hope this game becomes available for ps5 in the future.
They dont really climb the walls in the movie either. They literally just walk up the pile of dead bug bodies, and do what they already do in game: rip the walls to shreds
@@smiley4842 Then I got some bad (good) news for you: while playing i've found corpses of Tanker bugs laying around (the flamethrower beetles) And while im not entirely sure, I do think I found a handful of Hopper (flyer) corpses as well. They're just props for now but its definitely showing what's soon to be coming
The game's chaotic enough. I love chaotic multiplayer shooters but if they made the bug AI better like they climb up the walls and have the flyboys also attacking you or a random event happening like the one in the movie where there were bugs digging under and they just clawed their way out of the ground for an ambush, the experience would've been better.

Most architects don't co-work with anyone, can only imagine the hell of a military engineer design group making a base in less than 5 minutes lol 😂

I think you should try Silica. It's a combination of RTS aspects and FPS aspects in a way that works really well with multiplayer

I use a ps4 controller with Ds4windows, any Bluetooth controller will work that way and Steam on its own will work with most controllers

This reminds me of Deep Rock Galactic. I wonder if they might incorporate some of the same tools to allow easy communication.
