with the game idea of all the human characters being one player playing a first person shooter each and one player controlling all the bugs:
i've played a game like that in Eximus: Seize the Frontline, in that game there's two teams of five or six players, been a bit since i played it so i forgot how many exactly, one of the players on each team is the 'commander' of that team, and is essentially playing a RTS, supplying the other players with troops, and the other players are essentially playing a first person shooter, the goal of it mainly being to take points to generate the resources the players use, and take special points in order to generate victory points in order to win

Do you have a naval environment for 1 million zombies vs X ?
I want to see if the Phalanx AA gatling gun can defend a destroyer in port that is being attacked by 1 million zombies.
[SCENARIO] A U.S. destroyer is in port in a navy base. The base is being overrun by zombies. The base security (maybe 100 can be mustered at the main gate) gets overrun and the zombies head for the pier. The destroyer has three gangways for the zombies to use, which, nobody is able to dump in the water in time. All that's left is to use the ships firepower to shred the zombies. The ship has TWO Phalanx AA gatling guns, which, combined, proceeds to fire 9000 explosive rounds a second!
BTW, model these zombies to try and jump across if they can't use the gangways. If they fall in, the zombies can SWIM around and climb up by grabbing onto one of a dozen bumpers hanging down to protect the ship's hull from contacting the pier. Pretend the destroyer can muster 50 armed men with pistols to guard the sides from zombies trying to climb up.

Man reminds me of home wars. Also baron about the game idea for the siege mode thing. The closest thing I could find is this old Roblox game called valor. It works almost like what you said and it’s a gem from old Roblox.
