I was stuck on bloodwing with a dedicated anarchy build, and this build does more gun dps on base game then the deathtrapless build I was using, not to mention the damage deathtrap does as well lmao
@@squeekcheesetaker6593 I'm playing on switch, and I got stuck because the devcommand for instant kill doesn't work on bloodwing lol. I don't remember who's build I was using before but it apparently specialized in gun damage, even though it did less than this one does.
@@styxwessel5930 Haha bloodwing can be pretty annoying! DT is actually pretty good for Bloodwing though, definitely. Since you're on console, DT will scale better as the game goes on as well so that should really help.
I see that you have a Black Hole with 2 Pangolin parts, I have a question as to why people choose Pangolin instead of Maliwan. The Blood Soaked Shields fully restores your shield when you kill an enemy, Maliwan parts have lower shield capacity, meaning they break and recharge more often, allowing the Black Hole to trigger more frequently. So, isn't the Maliwan parts better? As I see it, the reason for using Black Hole is the singularity effect, so I don't understand why people would choose Pangolin instead of Maliwan.
Nice, congratulations! Hmm, some of the one point skills that I took in this video aren't the best in vanilla. I'd probably not take buck up, I don't really even love it on UCP. I've kind of changed my mind on that one over time. Made of sterner stuff isn't as good on vanilla either but arguably still worthwhile. Same thing with strength of five gorillas but I think it's worth with a DT build. If anything, you could go a little heavier into anarchy instead potentially but this build should do you pretty well.
I actually kinda like that one, even on vanilla! The damage isn't all that impressive but it knocks enemies back and kind of stuns them. It is actually pretty nice crowd control with a little damage thrown in. Would recommend, yes!
Hey there, just tested it for you. It does indeed blow up barrels when you reload. However, using the chain lightning and close enough most of the barrels are already destroyed by the time I would be near enough to hit one with the reload. Nonetheless, the primary reason I take the skill is for the 10% reload buff. It synergizes well with her other fire rate and reload speed talents.
I think he is somewhat more viable on console actually. DT doesn't scale properly on PC but he does on console. However, UCP definitely does him some favors so it balances out. I think it's possible though! His AI is so trash is the real problem.
The zap attack thing? DT will use his one point skills a little too often sometimes. I've changed my mind about my DT build and I would recommend skipping all the one point DT skills except for the explosive clap, flurry attack, and the one that increases his duration per kill. His AI is terrible otherwise with that many skills.
Hmm def more debatable, I think it is ~ok~ on vanilla. Depends on if you're console or PC as well, if console it's actually pretty solid since DT will scale properly.
@@squeekcheesetaker6593 Ive got rid of the reload button. Changed it to something i would never press. Put no points on the reload skill in chaos. but 1 on electric storm reload. @@xOKuronoOx Nice, sounds solid! Yea, I'd go back and change a few things with this build myself. Buck up is kinda terrible, Deathtrap AI is just way too shit to use it properly. You really only need explosive clap, robot rampage, and upshot robot.
Care to elaborate? I've tweaked the build since then and I would definitely not take the one point DT skills except for Flurry and Clap. You can rearrange some stuff though, sure. This build is incredibly strong though, I've had no issues with my melee DT builds. My peak run shows it pretty well.
@@squeekcheesetaker6593 its more of the skills you didnt have, you specced into the stare which isnt a bad skill but isnt really allthat neccessary either. One two boom is a bad skill entirely it takes so much time to charge the orb and it does just about as much dmg as deathtraps base melee dmg when it could have been using robot rampage. Interspersed outburst would saverely increase your dmg. You also didnt have made of stern stuff which is golden for deathtrap. Buck up is a good skill but mostly used to do the glitch but you wont need it if you spec blood soaked shields at least 2 points.
@@baileynightshade617 yea I mentioned that the DT skills aren't necessary. I would just use clap and flurry. They are much better on the UCP though and it can be fun to mess with them. I'd maybe throw a point or two into interspersed after reallocating the one skill points. It wouldn't hurt but it's also not really even close to a game changer. It's just pretty good for a slight DPS boost and extra slag. Anyhow, I think my more updated builds use less of the one skill DT points. I like to experiment in my videos, I'm not always going for the perfect min/max build. This is certainly viable though and you can rellallocate some skills here and there as you see fit!

Glad to hear it! I really love a DT focused build on Gaige. I took this through the peak as well and it did really good!

what does the number above the deathtrap logo buy the health bar mean???
it keeps raising and lowering at random
Not entirely sure what you are referncing but it sounds like the Anarchy skill? The logo with the "A" in a circle?
One two boom over the clap? One two boom is DTs worst skill haha, at least the clap knocks enemies down.
Vanilla boi here: Does shock and agh still hit barrels in the patch? that was my main reason against using it

Wish DT build was viable on consoles. I usually stay around OP3 but even on just level 80 he’s kinda trash

My gaige skill is very different from this video
