"a german shepherd of a human being" is really accurate for Jake
I'm now imagining a german shepherd tackling people and holding an ad for Square Space in their face. Complete with doggy grin and tail wagging.

Easy. I've been a fan back when dubstep guns was brand new. The content you all create within the channel, second channel, and even NODE has been the highest quality I've seen from youtube and the way you guys interact and connect with the audience makes me feel like I'm part of the team in a way. To see everyone go on a nostalgia trip with the studios puts me through one as well. Love you guys and all you do. Keep on being awesome!
Same bro. I lost it when dubstep guns came out. Oh how time flies.
Dubstep guns blew me away

Exactly
Bordom, plain & simple.
I am 16 years old. Don’t be decieved, I’ll tell you guys a secret. I’m not actually Kermit the Frog. But when I was a kid I watched all of these videos because of my brother, he got me really into youtube back in 2008, and I’ve been a huge fan ever since. Freddiew, CorridorDigital, and even Video Game Highschool. In that time, I was the biggest fan of Corridor and I always will be. My mother is a photographer and video editor, so seeing how this stuff is done and seeing people do it so well just makes me smile. I love all of you guys and your work. Since I was about 7 I have been watching you guys, and your content never disappoints.
Thank you guys, and keep up the amazing work.

"Why did you listen to us tell a story of Corridor?"
It has been said multiple times, but I watch you guys because you really feel like a family of friends. You guys are legitimately having fun with each other and it seems like you mostly have a lot of fun together. How can you not watch that? It feels like a reality show at times, but a more genuine one. You guys are all hilarious and really mesh with each other well. You're all passionate with what you do. It has been sad to see some of you leave, but that is life. I hope these channels continue, they are so great

"Why do you watch?"
Well, personally I started in the FreddieW era, actually following freddiew and not you. I loved the VFX, but then kinda forgot about it for a couple of years
A couple of years ago, I wanted to see what freddieW was up to, and I didn't really like his new content, such as VGHS, but then I remembered you guys existed, and you kept on doing cool VFX on RUclips, so I started following you again, only for the VFX videos.
Part of the spark that got me into what I do everyday and love so much, which is VR development, was influenced by Node videos, in which I found about Brandon and the VR games he was making at Stress Level Zero, which is also such a memorable phrase from back in the 2010s with FreddieW videos
So up to that point, my main interest was the VFX videos and of course SLZ, AND THEN You started with the deep fakes, the VFX Artist React, and other very viral videos that made me actually look past the VFX and into the daily life at Corridor and also the very interesting people that work and create amazing things there. You guys are awesome. PD: if somebody reads this, tell Wren he's gotta try my VR game, I know he loves Beat Saber!
I think those are the main points that make me say I really love Corridor, but of course your work still is amazing and keeps on getting better.
You guys are like cool teachers, even though I don't apply myself all the cool VFX and 3D things I learn, you get me into learning and growing as a professional
Thank you for these 10 years! and here's to another 10!
I wanted to make a comment but you summarized what I wanted to say : came mainly for Rocket Jump, didn't like new content like VGHS, stayed for Corridor Digital and followed the Sam & Niko channel to know how it works behind the scenes and watch cool R&D experiences from passionate, friendly and talented people :)
thats alotta letters
Exactly the same story!🔥🔥

You're a fun bunch of guys. When I've had a tough day your videos always manage to bring a smile to my face. What whacky idea will you have next? The work you guys produce is top notch and inspires me to create. Knowing your history inspires me even more. I love Blender. I love VFX. Corridor produces great pixels and waveforms. But at the end of the day I come back because of who you guys are, and not what you produce.

Now I work full time as a Visual Effects Coordinator / VFX artist for feature films. Would have had a very different life if it wasn't for you guys, you have all my gratitude for opening up this world to me

Now, I'm mostly sustaining myself off of acting, and I've got you guys to thank for making such wildly inspiring content. Me and a couple friends were even set to shoot our own webseries called Degen City, but then the pandemic happened. Everyone in our crew looks up to you guys, though! So if any of y'all end up reading this, thank you so much for all your hard work. It's been cool growing up along side y'all.

"Why did you listen to us tell a story about Corridor?"
I started watching you guys back when dubstep guns and the gravity gun were made. Its amazing to see the progress y'all have made since those videos. The amount of work put into each Corridor video keeps me coming back again and again.
to answer Niko's question of why:
I've been following you guys for about 7 or 8 years. I found you through Freddie's channel, which I also followed pretty closely. You guys had some of the coolest effects, ideas, stories, and community that I had ever seen and it's only gotten better in every way. It's crazy to see you guys going through life and I think to myself "man, they are so cool, they have so much fun, I envy them so much", and then you turn the corner on a new part of life and I think "man, they are just like me..."
It's been a huge influence in my life, from the way I get inspired, to the way I get through tough times, to the fun things I can share with others. You guys aren't just artists to me. You're role models. I don't love everything you guys have made or do, but I love the reasons and the way you do everything. The journey has been so much fun and there are so many ways that you guys have either influenced or mirrored my own life that I don't really know how to put it into words. I continue to watch you guys because you inspire me, you comfort me, you educate me, you entertain me, and most importantly, you make me think. I love to see you guys grow and succeed, and even if I have not contributed to that in a large way, I like to think that my views, likes, and the occasional comment have somehow helped or made an impact. Even if it's not true, you guys give it the opportunity to matter, and that's more than you might realize.
I love you guys the same way I love my best friends, even if we've never actually met. One day I might get up the courage and set aside the resources to come say hi and introduce myself, but until then, I'll just keep on enjoying your content...
Kind of the same pattern for me. I found Freddie's shorts a few years ago, which were awesome, then RUclips started recommending Corridor shorts, and here I am now. I also like other short films but it's hard to find them on RUclips, there aren't really a lot of channels.
I just wanted to see the how they've evolved the effect of Sam's thinning hair! The baldness pattern looks so natural these days that it's astonishing!
“Why did you listen to us tell a story of Corridor?”
I have been watching from the beginning i was like 10 back then and you guys were a big inspiration and a great learning tool to see what i wanted to become in the future, i guess i still see all your videos cause it kinda feels like family, feels like im home, just chilling with people that love the same things i do and i clicked on the video cause it shows a bit of nostalgia from when i was a kid and was super impressed by your videos and now im impressed by how far you guys have come. thank you guys for the videos i will keep watching.

I started watching not so long ago, when I found about 'vfx artists react' videos and 'vfx artist reveals' videos. And got me wondered what kinds of work you're doing and then I started watching your past videos on your other channel. After watching, I found out that you make films about whatever you think would be entertaining, with great script, hilarious jokes, and I can feel that you enjoy making your films. "Why do you care what we do here?"
You're intelligent, grounded, young guys with unique - and kinda geeky - creative skills. That sums it up.
I'm 19, been watching since a time I didn't properly know how to use the internet to get to "that website with the videos" (I just knew I liked Mario and Pokémon). We don't have many actual male role models these days - celebrities don't give insight into experiences, and more and more, guys being guys is ostracised anyway - and each member of the crew is a man to look up to in a way.
Niko's calm and wisdom. Sam's straight-forwardness. Jake's maturity. Wren's excitement and engineering background. Clint's dedication and artistry. (That is of course not mentioning Nick and Cmikes etc.) You provide grounding for young viewers. That's why we keep watching.

Simple, you guys just make me happy whenever I watch your videos.
Agreed
I watch because you're inspiring. While I'm not a vfx artist I think what you do and what you've built is incredible and my dream is to build the game development version of corridor crew. I want to develop games and I have things I want to try even if they don't work. One day I'll have my own studio and be developing games and corridor crew is part of that "if they can do it for vfx, I can do it for game dev"
Keep up the good work
"Why do you watch?" Well, Wren posted a "fire hands" tutorial that I recreated in my video reel which literally got me my first job in video production, my boss hired me specifically because I could do that effect. And I saw how you guys continued to prove time and time again that you CAN continue to innovate in your work, you CAN continue to learn new skills, you CAN create something meaningful and make a career out of it, you CAN love the people you work with, you CAN create and grow a successful business with your friend, you CAN stay friends with people for decades, you CAN have fun working hard on something. Ya'll have been inspiring and genuine from the get go, and it's helped inspire me to work jobs I never thought I could do. I've been a TV broadcast director for a couple years now and it's largely because ya'll show that we CAN do what we think we can't.
Also, Clint is pretty god damn funny.
I’ve been watching this crew since the OG OG days, like FreddieW’s Roller Coaster Day 2010 or the actual Rocket Jump video 😂 always such high quality stuff, always hilarious, entertaining videos, you guys are STUDS. Thanks for the incredible content over the years!
Nate Wilde good times!
Why did I listen to you to tell a story of Corridor?
I'm following you since the Frozen Crossing and I've gradually watched every single video you posted online. Heck you even cooked a dinner for me during the DayZ fan meeting in 2014! You have passed so much knowledge and inspiration to me and recently I started my own filmmaking/motion graphics business. I'm 23 tomorrow and you kinda raised me if I think about it. I feel like you're my friends even though you don't know me. I've spent so much time with you by watching all of these behind the scenes, tutorials and tons of other kinds of videos. It's very weird and special relationship.
Sadly I've never had enough resources to support you on Patreon or buy your merch (shipping to Czech Republic isn't free either huh) but I think this is the day I should start paying back. The impact you had on me is immeasurable. Thank you for everything. Hopefully one day I'll have a chance to thank you in person. You truly deserve the best of everything. I feel really bad for the people in parallel universes that don't have Corridor Digital. Life is just better with you. Thank you again.

I’ve been watching since Brandon and Freddie credited you for helping out with their Mario Kart IRL video. You’re talented, creative, silly. You’re all clearly really into what you’re doing, and it’s fun seeing you speak of your craft, even when I have no intention of pursuing it myself. You let yourselves nerd out hard, with video games, engineering, movie making. And you’re just charming. It really does feel like I’ve known you all for a long time, and I’m very invested, with my time and my emotions. I’m so happy to see you all continuing to flourish. Thanks.
isnt it strange to feel nostalgia for all of these places/times that you didn't really experience? lol, I'm getting emotional because I've been watching for almost a decade now and it's just such an overwhelming feeling to look back on it all

But actually, I watch Corridor Crew to gain knowledge of behind the scenes of vfx and the techniques used to make them, and how they could be fixed. Also Wren, he's very cool and teaches interesting things such as making drones and how ludicrous exponential growth can be, especially with something like a virus (which shall not be named).
I watch Corridor digital to be entertained, from "Tiny Guns", to "Tacticool reloads", to "There's an alien on your head!". It's fun watching the videos themselves as well as the improvement of the team behind them.

I loved the 2010 era of RUclips VFX videos. I started with FreddieW but when Corridor Digital was formed after, I subscribed in a heartbeat. How can I resist more of the same content? Plus I thought it was very cool that you guys had a second channel that was giving out VFX tutorials at the time and even inspired a few of my friends in college to shoot random skits together for our own enjoyment. Ngl over the years I started to loose interest in the main channel as Freddie's channel started uploading less frequently. The bond between you guys during your studio 4 days was kept me interested in what everyone is doing and seeing where everything would go. When NODE came to be, I watched every single upload as it comes out. The same with Corridor's second channel when it started ramping up to become Corridor Crew. Seeing a glimpse of what goes behind the scenes imho was a lot more interesting than what goes on to the main channel at this point. Plus the uploads were a lot more frequent. Seeing the final product on the main channel feels like a very good bonus. In the past 2 years, I feel like the Corridor Crew had become even better and diverse. Now we're getting educational videos, VFX breakdowns, and random challenges on top of a behind the scenes of their main uploads all from a single channel.
What’s so funny is that I was showing some people this channel on discord two nights ago. And talking about how I found it and showing the first video that I watch years ago which was the Minecraft and some of the newer videos. Like rust, r rated movies, and rust. It’s fucking awesome looking back on these moments.
I discovered Corridor Digital 10 years ago, with the Shoot Your Friends serie. I remember actually messaging you with VFX questions I had and you guys would always reply. Flash forward to now, I'm a senior compositor artist and I fricking love my job. I think I owe that to you guys. Thank you for everything!
1:10 hey rain by Rob Scallon
Thought it sounded familiar
YES I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE HOLY SHIT
I got weirdly excited when i heard "rain" playing in the back
Rob scallon gang RISE UP
Dang I felt seriously called out when they referred to me as an “OG fan” for watching freddiew videos in the third grade. Crazy. I wish you guys the best and I plan to watch as much as your content as I can. Hot dog.
5 years ago I watched your Call of the Wild videos. Those videos got me into Node and subsequently Corridor as well as D&D. Now, 5 years later, I play D&D as often as I can and watch all of your videos. Some videos really do seem like big-budget things with a group of 30 people, but it’s a group of very talented friends.
"Why did you listen to tell a story of corridor"
It's because I personally have been a fan of your works. I think I started watching your videos back in middle of 2012 and was amazed by the effects and wanna learn a little bit of how to make a good effect and what's important to know about filmmaking. Love from Sweden and stay strong in times like this
Like so many others, growing up in a small town, I didn't have resources to go to film school, have access to a lot of gear, and most importantly other humans who had similar passions. I was able to go to college but couldn't afford a school with an actual film department so I quickly learned that if I wanted a chance at a creative career, I would need education from somewhere else. Thanks to y'all and other amazing channels, I was able to have access to talented creatives who could help me progress to where I needed to go.
Really, thank you. I know you all were first and foremost following your passions and trying to pave a way for yourselves but the best thing about RUclips is you brought a community of creators along with you. We were experiencing many of the same things you were going through. We were hitting similar roadblocks of not knowing if there was a future for us or how the hell we would carve a path for ourselves in this world. Being apart of this community helped us continue to push forward in a time when the industries we wanted to live and work in were changing under our feet. Thank you.
To the next 10 years.
Cheers.
"Why did you listen to us tell a story of Corridor?"
This crew, above anything else I've ever seen, has been my number one inspiration in filmmaking. From learning composition, lighting, how to shoot, how to edit, how to do VFX work. Hell, I didn't even really practice editing a bundle of footage into a cohesive story until the first time you guys did open applications for editors and I didn't start teaching myself After Effects until the second time you guys did because I felt I needed to step up my game and push further. Honestly though, just seeing a group of friends from the midwest carry each other to such great heights in a world that I too aspire to be part of is incredibly powerful to watch. I haven't been here since the beginning, but I've watched, enjoyed, and learned from every single video you guys have put onto the Corridor and Corridor Crew channels.
Thanks guys.
I just began watching corridor recently because of COVID, I found the time to explore RUclips and as a musician, seeing fellow artists who have such a passion for a different craft is so inspiring. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to your art!
I have been a big fan of Corridor since I found it in 2011 and since then have always come back to Corridor for motivation in my of filmmaking. I'd be lying if I said I didn't wish you have an opening for a colorist in your studio. I do hope one day to work with corridor and I think just having you all as people to motivate me and inspire me keeps me creating and will keep my creating even after I graduate from film school next Saturday. Excited for the future of Corridor and can't wait to see more.
this comment deserves a heart.

@@jalin8039 Thank you! I honestly hope we both make it happen
@@syndifold9580 yo just wondering what is the area of film making that you would like to pursue later in life after film school?
@@jalin8039 I am a colorist more than anything but I also direct, im even finishing a short film now, on set wise though im willing to do anything g and e as i have gaffed and gripped a ton. I dont find myself drawn to camera or sound for sight and hearing issues, but in general it is always going to be color. I adore being a colorist.
@@syndifold9580 that's awesome, I am currently editing a feature film and I haven't gotten to grading yet, but it'll be fun and hard work.
So, Niko is just going to be living in a different location? He's still staying with the crew, right?
gunars12345 He is staying! I believe there’s a video earlier this year that briefly explained Niko moving out but still staying
@@smeech5177 thanks for the reassurance! I was worried for a bit there
Niko is a gem
@@smeech5177 but he wont be in their videos in person?
They talk about it on the podcast! He’s just moving out, now it’s a fully functional, big ass studio.
Was that rob scallon’s “rain” that I heard in the background. Good taste in music 👌
im so glad it wasnt just me. that song is stuck in my head when tyhey tried to make the reverb practically with two other guitarists
I've watched this video multiple times, but only just realized y'all used music by Rob Scallon! I've been following him for years! Crazy!
Sam: "We can always move back home at the end of the day, we havent burned those bridges yet."
Me: "Yet?"
Eventually you just get too old to move home with mama and papa
I'm here coz yall are talented and lacking in flexing egos...
Ash White well said mate
I've been watching since The last Minecart and Graphic Violence, I liked them so much I would download them onto a little 1 gig thumb drive to watch them at school when ever I was bored. I'm a prop maker, set designer, and monster make-up enthusiast now and though I wouldn't say Corridor help make me that (I was already on that track by then) It was fun to see what I felt were kindred spirits and I always hoped that one day you would make a call out for physical prop makers like you do with digital film makers. I'm a struggling artist, quit my day job 4 or 5 years ago and been scraping by thanks to peoples kindness, after seeing videos of you behind the scenes talking about your journey and path to where you are, I would never give it up for the world. Its been a wonder to watch you grow in size, talent and maturity, I hope to continue to watch for another 10 years. Thank you so much for all the laughs, the tears, and awe inspiring moments.
because one can feel the friendship you guys have. it is like hanging out while watching your videos
Oh boy I've been here a loooong time... Still remember when 'The last Minecart' came out. Here's to 10 more!
8:55 “just like we shot peter... it was the same thing”
That subsequent eyebrow movement worried me. 😂
Josiah Smith my theory is Niko 42
Agent К видео by now the whole crew are probably clones of themselves, and the real ones are safe at home.
"Why do you watch Corridor?"
I've been following you since a long time and still does it today because of the passion you show in your videos.
May it be on the Corridor or Corridor Crew channel, you're always passionate, you do your best to be insightful and entertaining.
To me, that's your brand, you communicate with your audience your passion.
Passion for VFX, Passion for making the impossible real, Passion to teach, etc ...
You always impressed me, and continue to do so.
I still remember the Far Cry video of 2012, I think that must have been the point where I went: DARN those guys are awesome, I want to see more. Never left :)
Thanks for all the time you spend on the channel, on youtube ! You're all awesome !
I started watching corridor digital when I was about 8 years old, I am now 18 and I have enjoyed watching the crew grow and get better at what you guys love to do, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey
I was waiting for the water bucket prank, that still is one of humanity's greatest achievements
I was watching since they released "The Glitch" and DAMN they come a very long way. I'm so proud to be one of your viewers
Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that every single one of these guys lives was allowed to get to where it is all because Steve the landlord kept his rent low.... I love Steve.
Agreed!! people like Steve do not get the appreciation they deserve.
My early teens i watched you guys. Now that I think about it you guys inspired me to get into video editing.
Wound up working in IT and doing the occasional freelance video editing.
Huh, wonder where i'd be without you guys
