- Back in May, I was approached by AstrHori to review their latest accessory meter, the XH-2. While not much has changed internally from their initial offering, the AH-M1 and the XH-2 take a radically different form factor. I was not one to turn down a good opportunity to try a new product, but I was sent one, and the results were amazing! This is a great option for anyone looking for a small, accurate, and easy-to-operate meter for your meterless cameras or cameras with a dead/flaky meter.

Looks like a nice little unit - Love the small size!
@@theoldcameraguy Oh yeah it’s nice! Thanks for watching 🍻
NIce!
I have been thinking about a better solution for my setup when I use my rolleicord III and need a light meter.
I used to bring my DSLR to also act as a light meter but to be honest its too big and heavy, the alternative is to also bring my canon f1n 35mm slr camera and shoot both 35mm and 120 but that's not always something I would like to do!
I also realized that my rolleicord III doesn't have a shoe in the camera body so that is an issue!
I have to be friends with a light meter app on my smartphone as its easy to bring whenever I go!
@@SinaFarhat this would be great on a Rolleicord! A simple 3d printed shoe mounted on the side would work for mounting. Thanks for watching 🍻
Great video. I bought that small light meter and it never worked properly-total waste of money. Thank you. RS
@@richardsimms251 The XH-2 or one of the first models or another brand completely? Thanks for watching and I’m sorry that the one you got was a lemon 🍻
