If you're wondering what that red car with the 86 on the side is a Toyota GT86 the successor of sorts to the AE86 line of cars Takumi drives in Initial d
It's dope they're sticking with the 86 type of car even in the sequel. The GT86 looks GOOD! A lot sexier to look at than the AE86, even though the AE86 looks fire too now after it grew on me.
MF: Ghost is a reference to the Organization that will host the race and also reference to Takumi's history of being the "Ghost of Akina". It's also suspected that the MF in MF: Ghost refers to Mount Fuji, which is close to where the races are being held.
Aww man so I was absolutely wrong. I thought I was being smart for a sec lol. I felt like the ghost part had something to do with Takumi so that parts cool. Thanks bro!

Good lawd! Up to 700 hp!? These cars out here tripling his horsepower. I definitely misspoke about the underdog aspect. That's insane, these cars are about to be stupid fast. Thanks my guy!
i have read the manga but those big boy cars have tire handicap according to the race rules... the powerful the car the thinner the tire size which affects the whole balance and control of the car... so yeah having a balanced build and achieving speed without relying on power is the key here...
I'm curious about this anime but people say that the plot and driving is bad on the manga, and the races have power ups... Idk, maybe they just fix that on the script of the anime, Idk... :/
Saying that the races have power ups is a lie. Of course, Kanata's (the mc) car isn't on the same level as his rivals', so it'll need modifications. And sure, the manga is filled with plot armor, but so is Initial D. I think people put Initial D way too high, when it and it's sequel are really average stories (this is coming from a real big fan, btw). But it's a good read. Remember that it might help you in the near future. the white car is a GTR R35 and the resto are Porsches, Alfas, Ferraris, Lambos, prumarily supercars, the only sports car is the GT86, another underdog, like its ancestor.
These races might be a whole lot more interesting than I anticipated then. So this mc actually does need a godly amount of skill to compete with these cars after all. 30 years later, sheeesh! Hoping we see the old homies in this, this will be dope to see either way. Thanks man!

In the first trailer The first car was a lambo huracan , the red one was ferrari 488 , the ones after that are porsche 911 and a porshe Cayman and then the main vehicle gonna be a toyota GT86 , the spiritual successor to the AE86.

Do you guys think MF Ghost can top Initial D or do you think it'll be in 2nd place? (Without Spoilers) My full opinion: I think the small trailers are dope, based off them I can't tell a lot about the plot. But it looks like these races are going to be a lot more professional. It looks like this character will be doing official type racing that's broadcasted in the daytime. All completely different concepts which is exciting to see. Obviously you don't want to rewrite the same plot but I think the fun I get out of Initial D is the fact that it's street racing, unofficial, no rules, raced at night, etc. Also a huge point of me loving Takumi is seeing him whip an AE86 that isn't even comparable to the cars he race, wondering if he can actually beat a fast car like this!? Which also adds a shock factor to the racers that challenge him too. With MF Ghost, idk his car's specs but it looks like he's in a car that's already fast and can compete with the others. Which takes away the underdog/unique factor. And with it being daytime and professional racing, idk how much "dirty" events or racers actually happen. But like I said it's the same people that made Initial D so I'm sure they have plans for this plot line making it interesting. It will for sure be fun to see these races in high quality and even faster than before. I believe this show will be a DOPE new show to watch for sure but I think Initial D will still shine brighter in the long run. But I'm only 15 episodes in and a car dummy so my opinion isn't too valid lol.
dirty stuff still can happen is all im going to say, this series is super different from initial d for the reasons you said.. but the difference is its not 1v1 anymore. its full on 24 car racing which leads to some crazy moments that arent possible in the OG show.. when you finish initial d it'll make more sense why it went this route . & a small spoiler than connects this & ID that wont spoil anything about initial d takumi is the person who taught the mc of this series, avoid anything about this show cause it will spoil major things about initial d & what happened after the show ended
I read the manga online until i got to Vol.6 or something, and honestly i have a very mixed opinion on this manga. I just don’t know how to describe it. And since I was too lazy to read the manga i’m very curious about this Anime. I think i will be in a high 2nd place.
I think the series as a whole has a much more professional vibe, in order to fully understand it you need to understand what was taught in Initial D. Over the course of the Initial D seasons, the racing and opponents get faster and faster, and the techniques they teach become more advanced, and this continues in MF Ghost. The style of racing is different, but that's because newer cars handle differently. In the same way that Initial D focuses on 80's - 90's cars, how they drive, and how the technology evolved, MF Ghost looks into modern cars and how things have changed since the 90's. The car that has the number 86 sticker is the main character's car and is a GT86. You can look it up, but it's basically the spiritual sucessor to the AE86, low horsepower, rear wheel drive, relatively lightweight, and affordable. Very different from the supercars that it's competing against, so the underdog aspect is still there. The races still take place on public street roads as you can see from the trailers, so the style of track is similar to the street races in Initial D, but I'm pretty sure the roads are closed to the public for the races similar to modern rally events, as the series takes place in the 2020's and safety is a bigger concern. People sleep on the manga, but I think it's just because the level of racing was higher, there's not as many flashy drifts like in Initial D due to the car selection like you mentioned, so unless you have a good understanding of how cars move while racing, it's hard to put the panels together in your head. The animation in the trailers clearly show the suspensions working, so the anime will do this better for sure. Plus there's no eurobeat in the manga.
@@ItsKomical DANG 24 in a single race, now that does sound crazy. You pass one now you gotta figure out how to get pass the next one. One race will probably feel like several mini races put together. That is interesting I didn't even think about that. Can't wait to finish ID and experience this show at the same time as everyone else this time lol. And thanks for that heads up! I'll avoid this show from now on to not get spoiled
@@colgamer877 I'm seeing many mixed or poor reviews, comment wise. Maybe the anime fixes what people disliked. I believe it'll probably be 2nd if comparing it to initial D. But it'll be 1st if comparing it to other race animes that come out that year. Hopefully lol
Actually the term itself hasn't been revealed EVEN in the manga yet, so as a reader myself, don't worry. The Initial D series has multiple types of animation style since it has been on different years as well. The cars on the MF Ghost are more on European and Japanese 2017 sports cars. Also MF Ghost centers on street racing but LEGAL (imagine Need For Speed but no cops). The red 86 is the successor of Takumi's Toyota AE86, the GT86 released in 2012 and 2013, it is a result of Subaru and Toyota partnership, Subaru's version is called BRZ, and Scion joined in as well naming it FRS. Just around a few months ago the GR86 was released, an upgraded version of the GT86.
LEGAL!? 🤮 I can't watch legal racing. Lol jk thanks for clearing that up, I think I can see how these races will go now. I was thinking he was on like a whole professional race team on a track. Bc I noticed he wears gloves and has a headset too. Bro this GT86 is definitely a nice looking car tho. Can't wait for it after I finish all these initial D eps lol
@@JayKReacts You'll get a hang of it, don't worry. Also the song featured in the second trailer is named Manifold Love by Hotblade, it is now considered as the Eurobeat that will welcome the new generation of Initial D and MF Ghost fans
@@JayKReacts Additionally I think all the cars that will be featured on this series are for GT Racing, Grand Tourer, usually for both streets AND for Circuit tracks
Bro I have a few things you might want to know about how you react to the upcoming episodes in Initial D. The next race is quite long and starts at the end of episode 17. It finishes in episode 19. I would reccommend either doing all three episodes at once, or doing episode 17 as a single episode and episode 18 and 19 together.
Just wait till you react to the initial d legend movies, they have amazing cgi. The legend movies are just a remake of initial d stage 1 without the catchy music but it's beautiful visually.
All of the cars in the anime have paddle shift except for the Gt86 with Manual transmission. Technically MF ghost is a promotion for toyota gr as you can see on this video ruclips.net/video/YV7FKSTG9Vo/видео.htmlsi=HiAixLDtZWvDOXBj That toyota tv ad was shown everytime after the opening video of mf ghost in Japan.
It's takumi moving to the pro stage can't be any other character wouldn't make sense.. I'm guessing it's more electric car and the 86 is the petrol car that beats everyone driven by takumi 😅😅😊
I had to look up the GR. But outta the three I think I would go for the GR86!! The shape and little details on it are dope. Honestly having any of em would be cool with me lol.
Initial d stage 3456 and final have the best graphics in the series and same with the initial d legends movies the legendary series was so popular it got a sequel mf ghost
Cmooon bro, you know we both gonna be watching it! I mean whether it's bad or good I'm probably still gonna watch just because of how much time invested I am into the the show at that point. Unless it's just absolutely terrible on the first 2 eps, then I'll probably sit this one out too lol
@@JayKReacts yeah as an initial D fan I gotta at least give it a shot. We won’t know how the show is until it comes out. And I’m biased toward older cars personally, there aren’t many modern cars that I gravitate towards
Initial D is still one hundred times better. The storyline is wayy better in Initial D, The races are far more interesting in Initial D and it has a special and realistic charm. MFG from what I have seen just looks bland.
I think it might be an initial D bias, it's starting to happen to me too lowkey lol. Probably because this is like my gateway show into the racing and cars scene, so nothing's really going to top this experience. We gotta give MFG a chance at least lol they could surprise us! But yea sometimes the new isn't better than the old, that's for sure. I'm still probably gonna be jumping out my seat when I watch episode 1 in 2023 tho lol.
Initial d had some plot armour because the ae86 the fastest thing out there... But MF ghost has TERRIBLE writing. How do you expect a gt86 to beat sports cars and supercars? The worst part is that this gt86 is waaaaay heavier and probably is more sluggish, and it's on a track now. I ain't even gonna speak about the characters bro ... I'm gonna miss them
@@jayfujiwara9740its not a track its a road course, the higher power cars have to use smaller tyres to equilize it so the GT86 can use full size tyres for its low power and given the drivers training coming from takumi means his slip angle technique, drifting through slow hairpins at full speed aswell as superior braking technique he can keep up with supercars. Because he can corner faster and accelerate hardwr due to the supercars being forced to use the wrong tyres
All Hail, Takumi's Son 🙇🏽 Edit: Also, I'm Part Chinese And Learned Some Mandarin Characters. It Said "Coming Out On May 6th 2023". Hoping This Is A Legit Continuation, Like Some Boruto Type Shit But Better!!
This is more of a spiritual successor to InitialD. Not M** F** Ghost, that's just something the translator put in. The manga is good (what I've been able to find translated) so far but it isn't Initial D. Only hints to past characters. This show has nothing to do with Takumi or Mogi. Not really a continuation of that story. It's a separate stand alone future. But we do learn a couple of things that happened to Takumi after the initial D stories end. He................! Finish Initial D first and enjoy the best that is yet to come.

The red car that says 86 is the second generation 86
The next prophet has arrived! I think it's dope they continued with 86 again
キャラクターの名前は"片桐夏向"
(katagiri kanata)
a.k.a カナタ リヴィントン
dont worry about the graphics bro, in every stage would be upgraded ✨✌️
Yessss! I heard it gets a big upgrade by stage 2. So I'm hyped for it, thanks bro
Just wait till you react to the initial d legend movies, they have amazing cgi. The legend movies are just a remake of initial d stage 1 without the catchy music but it's beautiful visually.
All of the cars in the anime have paddle shift except for the Gt86 with Manual transmission. Technically MF ghost is a promotion for toyota gr as you can see on this video
ruclips.net/video/YV7FKSTG9Vo/видео.htmlsi=HiAixLDtZWvDOXBj
That toyota tv ad was shown everytime after the opening video of mf ghost in Japan.
It's takumi moving to the pro stage can't be any other character wouldn't make sense.. I'm guessing it's more electric car and the 86 is the petrol car that beats everyone driven by takumi 😅😅😊
I just hope they don't f it up. If it is anything like the first season , this will be going down in history
You need to finish initial d first🤣🤣 but reaction is🔥🔥
Lets gooo! 🔥
bro can you watch stage 4 of initial d
Definitely bro! Riiight after I get done with stage 1, 2, and 3 lol
Outta the three would you prefer the Ae86, GT 86, or the new GR 86? Me personally, I prefer the GT86
I had to look up the GR. But outta the three I think I would go for the GR86!! The shape and little details on it are dope. Honestly having any of em would be cool with me lol.
I’d go with the Corolla
I'd personally go with the oldie. Something about an older car just hits different...
Initial d stage 3456 and final have the best graphics in the series and same with the initial d legends movies the legendary series was so popular it got a sequel mf ghost
The only way I'll watch this show personally is if the reviews are through the roof. I've heard bad things about the manga
And I’m biased toward older cars personally, there aren’t many modern cars that I gravitate towards
i also call it as mother fucking ghost LMAO
@@JayKReacts it’s because I’ve seen the manga So I know what to expect
A lot of the cars are not Japanese
ok this is too batchest
All Hail, Takumi's Son 🙇🏽
Edit: Also, I'm Part Chinese And Learned Some Mandarin Characters. It Said "Coming Out On May 6th 2023". Hoping This Is A Legit Continuation, Like Some Boruto Type Shit But Better!!
Oh dope! so we do have a date. Alright guess i got a deadline to finish Initial D now. I'm hoping so too brotha, gonna be epic!
@@JayKReacts Lovin' The Content 👍
This is more of a spiritual successor to InitialD. Not M** F** Ghost, that's just something the translator put in.
The manga is good (what I've been able to find translated) so far but it isn't Initial D. Only hints to past characters. This show has nothing to do with Takumi or Mogi. Not really a continuation of that story.
It's a separate stand alone future.
But we do learn a couple of things that happened to Takumi after the initial D stories end. He................!
Finish Initial D first and enjoy the best that is yet to come.
MF GHOST- GHOST of FUJI MOUNT i think
Ahh that actually makes sense. I tried to make it too deep lol
If you think these graphics are clean wait till stage 4
"M*THER F*CKING GHOST?" lmao
Never read it but from what I heard its ass but maybe they’ll fix it in the anime
