Hina would've understood better if he just came clean like "hey your father doesn't want us together, we can be together in so and so amount of time when im no longer in a gang" Plus the whole "there's a connection between me her and kisaki this is for the best" is plain dumb since regardless of them being together or him being in a gang kisaki still kills her.

Ugh I feel like this scene could have been better explained on the show because literally the scenes jumped around so quickly as a fan I don’t think I had much time to process that he was really going to leave her. I just kept thinking that this scene wasn’t even real like the writers need to slow down their role on the main plot and at least have a bit more coverage on why he’s leaving her since we won’t see hina till probably next season :/

Anyways, it doesn't even matter because even after her beating him up, he says he's sorry and talks highly of her. It doesn't make any sense. The whole dynamic is psychotic.
