@@panik8867 the second time i have them, they were intensely blue. The first time was in a tank that someone other than myself was responsible for managing and the water care and feeding habits were not right. In my own self-managed tank, i balance things carefully, and they are VIVID blue. instagram.com/p/CMFxmpkhCc8/
@@etyrnal Oh wow well that is great! I'm glad you have that managed right now, keep them nice & healthy, and they will have a long & full lifespan. :-) Also thanks for the instagram video link.
Do you use powerhead to make a strong current in your tank? Because I heard these gobies prefer a strong flow water. And easier to die in calm water.. I want want to, but I cannot use powerhead because it would swept all my guppies and shrimps..
I have the a neon goby in my community tank, the tank doesn't have strong currents, but they are doing fine. Just make sure they have proper aeration, sand and plants.
etyrnal the colour in mine fluctuates... some days they are very washed out, other days they show brilliant colours... but generally I find most fish less colourful in stores due to stress
Well this guy just became my new favourite fish
Would they get along with hillstream loaches or would that be to competitive? 🤔
the ones in the fish store have nowhere near this amount of blue... does it come in more as they age?
or is this a male vs female thing?
Once it’s in your tank it will be more blue because your tank is probably healthier than a store tank
You can also give some varieties of food which can extend their color and shine!

Don't believe them. True, these gobies prefer strong current but they can also thrive in calm water just make sure the water is always clean.
Adorable!!!!!!
Do these guys require a Sand substrat
No
That's a new one
How likely is it that they turn these beautiful colors? Mine is more like the brown one towards the end?
