Keep on going an this channel is gonna be huge! Hard to find someone who strikes just the right balance of quality + luxury, and being open to spend $$$ when the item is right! Looking forward to more comparisons (maybe one on wool overcoats given winter is coming and is another staple item)
to each their own. But $1000 for a basic looking simple cemented suede shoe is insane, and to last one year? Personally I'd much rather have a beautiful welted pair of penny or horse bit loafers. More versatile, will last a lifetime with proper care and way cheaper for a better shoe (look at oak street, grant stone, blackstock and weber for some brands)
I absolutely love all of your roundup videos like this, along with your detailed posts on /r/mfa. Especially love the idea of comparing dupes of an iconic piece (like this one) as opposed to some of your other videos which are much more open-ended and subjective (like the hoodie video). It'd be way too expensive, and time/space-consuming but I wish someone would do this with comparing dupes of the iconic Eames lounge and ottoman to the official Herman Miller version. Suggestion for next video: straight-leg jeans! It'd be a bit unique because it could be bookended by the Levi's 501 on the low end up to a pair of Levi's LVC replicas on the higher end, along with lots of budget points in-between (e.g. from Unbranded to TCB or Blue Blue Japan, to Pure Blue Japan or Samurai)
Yes, great to see you collab with Asket. Because of your videos, most of my wardrobe is kitted out with their stuff. Got to try their denim next. Do you wear the loafers without socks? I use no shoe socks but I thought wearing without would cause huge moisture build up leading to being uncomfortable?
Thank you so much. A collab with Asket has always been a dream and I'm glad we got to do something! All loafers I typically wear with no show socks. These are the first ones where I’ve gone truly sockless. Still not sure how I feel about it but moisture buildup hasn’t been an issue so far and the shoe trees definitely help
Rich man’s Hey Dudes? lol I actually like this style loafers but couldn’t help thinking this while watching the video. I’ll be subscribing man love the content 💯
Nice video! I personally found the winner 🥇 n this category to be the model by Velasca. I like a lined shoe and the rubber soles are cemented but also Blake stitched. Tried the Scarossa model and sent them back right away, as they were not well made at all. I’m big into shoes including the materials and construction. I also picked up a pair of Magnanni in this style and they are again lined and well constructed, although not sole stitched. I would not even try the Loro Pianos because they are unlined and unstructured. The two I mentioned above that are keepers are not bulky and have the desired silouette. I fully conditioned them with Saphir spray condition as well as the Saphir water repellant spray. I don’t mess around with my shoes and have a nice collection of high quality dress shoes and sneakers, including retro low CP’s. I would have bought the LP Summer Walks if they were better made.
You know your stuff! Really wish I would have known about the Velasca’s earlier. They seem right up alley. I personally like the flex the unlined Loro Piana’s provide compared to the rest. But personal preference at the end of the day. Thanks for the informative comment 🙌🏽
Blumaan Original as a prestyler to damp hair followed by Milbon No. 8 after i've blowdried it - can't find link to Blumaan but here's the Milbon amzn.to/47WRiu4
I'm confused what you mean by "traditional." There is no tradition here. These shoes are newer than smartphones. They're a minimalist gimmick, they're just the new common projects, they'll fall out of favor in four years as soon as people realize how pointless they are (and as soon as all of their pairs have fallen apart). Loro Piana is not a quality brand. Old money just wears actual boat shoes, or sperries, or whatever orthopedic sneakers their maid bought for them.
What is it with Americans always mispronouncing easy to pronounce brands? Like Scarosso, there's a double s for a reason. Why call it Scaroso? Same thing with risotto, calling it risodo, or calling a Testarossa a Testarosa. Only Americans do that, and I think it's a weird phenomenon, as it's easy to pronounce it correctly.
What do y'all think? Are the Loro Pianas actually worth it or would you go with one of the other options?

Thanks for the support, I appreciate it!
Wool coats are hard since I live in Texas but agreed that would be a good video!
Won't catch me dead in these, but watched anyway. Appreciate the high quality content!
I wasn't a fan a few years ago but they have really grown on me! These look great on feet and you can wear them on a ton of different fits.
The Asket sponsored material was great! I was looking for more information on their pants and found this part super helpful

Best vid thus far! Not bias :)
Thank ya videographer

Suitsupply chinos!
What’s the suede jacket you are wearing ? It looks fire ❤️🔥
It was a sample for my brand but didnt make it to production. I think Massimo Dutti has a similar option!
Hey man immediately thought of your channel. You should try luca faloni polos

Loro piana at 450usd is king, at current price it has zero competitive advantage compare to baudoin & Lange
cool content, where's your sweater from?
Quince!
i have the scarosso and idk whats wrong with my feet but when i wore them the bottom of my feet would sweat like crazy
Haven't noticed that on my end but I'll pay more attention. How're they holding up?
Wait. You wear your loafers without socks? No man NO SHOWS 😅😅
Never been keen on Loafers with a white sole 🙁
They've been super popular recently - rightfully too due to how versatile and comfortable they are!
🐐
Hair routine?

Do you know what happened to the Loro Piana Summer Walk color selection? I can only see four colors on their website now.
They are all great ,will be getting a pair of TLB Mallorca, thanks 🏴👍
There is another brand from Mallorca that is good as well. Carmina. Will recommend to take a look 😊
