Thank-you so much for your beautiful vlogs. We are bombarded with the information that we are going to suffer heart attacks, strokes, dementia and diabetes unless we replace our hormones after menopause. But hey everyone just change your diet, exercise, learn to meditate and live mindfully. HRT will not help to avoid these diseases unless we address the root causes as Angela so eloquently tells us. Great vlog, and one of the only ones that put not having HRT in a positive way. XXXX
Every time I try exercising since menopause I hurt myself. Have tendinitis in both biceps at the moment from using very light weights, and hip joint pain from doing mild core exercises. Feel helpless.
@@samanthathompson9812 Don't ever feel helpless. There is always other things you can do to mitigate inflammation. I started a great journey into learning all I can about health and longevity. Anti inflammatory spices and cutting out inflammatory foods such as sugar, alcohol and processed foods. It is so amazing and I feel so lucky to be able to access so much helpful information. I feel great at 64, I run 24 miles a week, walk my dogs 30 miles per week, I do weights and yoga and I love every minute. I started to grow my own veggies and have always cooked good food from scratch. There are always new things and studies to catch up on it really is an exciting time to be getting older and make time for yourself.
Love this! I have lived a pretty healthy lifestyle and I attribute that to why my menopausal symptoms weren’t debilitating. However, I still experienced some not so great symptoms and HRT has been a game changer for a few of those (I.e. hot flashes, vertigo, brain fog). I am realizing that I need to make some more lifestyle changes as I am experiencing a lot of irritability, anger, resentment…mood stuff that the HRT is not addressing. Meditation/reflection has been helpful for me to understand my triggers and the “why”. For me I am realizing that I need to start saying “no” more and follow more of my joy instead of overworking and overdoing. Making sure I prioritize me and my self care.
Thank you so much, I echo a previous comment...Thank you for sharing your wisdom. I am navigating this stage of my life and your wise words really helped.✨️💖
Thank you. I have definitely been doing the deep dive these last few years. I don’t have the option for HRT because it’s not covered by my insurance and I’m very low income. I’m very interested in what I can eat and/or drink to reduce my night sweats, and to support bone and muscle strengthening. I have to eat anyway so it helps with the budget. I’m gradually increasing soy products (which I like, so that’s easy.) I have not looked at your channel and playlists yet so you might have covered this before There are a lot of people who can’t afford HRT and I have always preferred a more organic approach I have been following you a few months and your videos are always helpful
I'm scared to try HRT because in the past whenever I've taken hormones I get horrible insomnia. However I'm having terrible muscle and joint pain and brain fog since menopause. Feel utterly decrepit.

Thank you for sharing Angela. So glad I found your channel. ❤
Brilliant video. I’ve read so many woman go on HRT but they never change their lifestyle and wonder why their Symptoms come back after a few months.
