    Brian Bromberg was born December 5th, 1960 in Tucson, Arizona. He grew up in a family of musicians and artists; his father and brother played the drums. Immersed in music from an early age, Brian began playing cello in elementary school, and began his career as a drummer at the age of thirteen, then picked up the bass in junior high.
    Brian’s first big break came in 1979, when he joined the Stan Getz quintet. At just 19 years old, Brian spent nearly a year touring internationally with Getz. Since then, Brian has toured, performed and or recorded with legendary artists which include:
    Anita O’ Day, Arturo Sandoval, Barney Kessel, Benny Golson, Bill Evans, Billy Cobham, Bob James, Bob Mintzer, Bobby Lyle, Boney James, Carmen McRae, Chris Botti, Clark Terry, Dave Grusin, Dave Koz, David Benoit, David Foster, Diane Schur, Dianna Krall, Dizzy Gillespie, Doc Powell, Dudley Moore, Eddie Harris, Elvin Jones, Elvis Costello, Ernie Watts, Freddie Hubbard, George Duke, Gerry Mulligan, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Hank Jones,Herb Ellis, Herbie Hancock, Herbie Mann, Horace Silver, Ivan Lins, James Moody, Jeff Lorber, Joe Farrell, Joe Lovano, Joe Sample, Johnathan Butler, Johnny Mandel, Josh Grobin, Joshua Redman, Keiko Matsui, Kenny Baron, Kenny G, Kenny Garrett, Lou Rawls, Michael Brecker, Michael Buble, Nancy Wilson, Patrice Rushen, Paula Cole, Peter White, Rick Braun, Sarah Vaughn, Shirley Horn, Sonny Stitt, Steve Lukather, and many more.
    Brian uses LA Bella SN45 Nickel Wound Electric Bass set, 7720 Solo double Bass set, and the Nylon La Bella Piccolo and stainless steel electric Piccolo sets.

    I love this version of Cantaloupe Island. Note that instead of playing D-7 for 4 measures they play D-7 for 2 measures and Db7 for two measures. Very cool.

    brilliant recording. For as far as i can judge the HQ stream recording.
    Sound wise and mixing wise, a pretty awesome job.
    Not to mentione the musicians involved.!

      Brian Bromberg is one best bassist in the music business, he worked for Kenny G for a time and Pianist Dave Grusin.
