Really cool comparison choices. I'm a fan of both bags. I bought the Aer Pro Sling specifically for travel. It can hold a 20oz insulated water bottle, e-reader, and still has enough room for other bits to carry around town. Its lighter weight and relative lack of structure means I can shove it into my luggage without needing to allot a bunch of space for it or, alternatively, it has enough organization to use it as a tech pouch.
One thing that I dislike about alpaka is most of their bags that I own always suffer from the same thing. The zippered back pocket's opening always feel tight.
Thanks for sharing. I have the Alpaka mini sling v2. Hate the magnetic clip cos lady usually doesn’t wear it so tightly on the chest. As such. Is impossible to position the magnetic buckle at comfort level. It always hit on my shoulder or collar bone. Haha. Love the compartments but it doesn’t suit a girl for the strap
The Aer seems to be better designed - better visibility into the interior and bigger dump area in the middle of the main compartment. 4-5L is sizeable and I would like to hold more stuff for such a large sling.
I have some AER slings and also some from alpaka. Yes, in term of interior aer can fit more items. But alpaka feels better when u wear them. Design wise alpaka is great but interior room is tighter so we need to adjust what we carry. Both is good btw.
Rare miss from Aer, the Day Sling 3 Max with its front pocket is much more practical (and looks much better too) though it’s also 2L larger so admittedly not for everyone… But in this comparison the Alpaka clearly comes out on top in spite of its less user-friendly carry system.
I own the aer pro sling and its fantastic. It expands and can hold quite a bit of stuff. My issue with it is that it looks too purse like. I use it as a tech case now.
I have the Alpaka sling and works for me. I am not sure the bags are compatible comparison. Alpacka makes bags that have many pockets and detachable straps. I got this one because of minimal amount of pockets since my stuff seams to get lost in a bag with a zillon pockets. Also I like the wider straps, the smaller ones tend to cut into my shoulder/neck and the reason why you cant adjust the straps while on the body is that some straps move while wearing them. You can adjust but it takes practice.
I have several alpaka products and while I like them, they always feel very tight, especially compared to the advertised volume or exterior sizing.
Me too
Happens all the time especially with their backpacks
No idea why Alpaka decided to not make removable straps for the go sling mini v2. Would have been perfect.

Surely the narrower strap on the Aer means it cuts in more when wearing?

Nobody has compared the Bravo to the Go, any opinions
Lits me know price please
Kinda weird seeing a gatekeeper clip on aer but not on alpaka.
I believe the Alpaka should be the Go Sling and NOT mini.
The go sling has detachable straps. So this is the mini v2
Also the strap is thicker on the go sling
I have an Alpaka and man is tight
