Wonderful shells to add to your collection, Roxann! That chocolate Nutmeg is stunning; I didn’t fully realise that they could be that dark! Lovely Northern Moon Snails too 🐌
Thank you! Oh yes those from the Marco Ten Thousand Islands can get pretty dark. I think it's the rich environment that the plant base species eat then they are rich when the carnivorous ones eat them...all that richness from the mud flats in the 10Ks 👍🏼 A lot of the shells from the 10Ks can be very rich in color compared to all other parts of Florida (well the Key's can be included in the environment richness). Thx for watching ❤️
Love this so much! Like Christmas! Unwrapping each shell! I follow Plum Island Sea Cabin such a fun sheller for those huge cold water moon snails/ shark eyes!
Oh I know! I enjoy her channel so much; she is so knowledgeable and fun to watch. I can't wait till her Etsy store is back up (she said sometime in April). Thx so much for watching!
Those Janthina came in a week after I left FL :( Maybe next year lol Jupiter was amazing as well. Your shells are gorgeous!! My friend gives me N. Moons. She lives up there and we trade.
Yeah those purples only come out earlier in the year 👍🏼Thank you. Man those northern moons are beautiful 😍 That’s great you all can do trades ❤️ Thank you for watching!
Those moon snails are beautiful in their natural state but a couple are strongly jazzed with calcium deposits. A three second acid dip might reveal a whole other world of color. I’ve been amazed what lies beneath. Nature’s designs are truly amazing. Thanks for sharing
Oh awesome! Thx for that tip. I might try it on the smaller one--I love muriatic acid dipping lol. Nature's designs are very amazing indeed. Thx for watching!
