Not too much to say here! Always loved those first few episodes of the new score in DBZ during the Namek saga, this music always reminds me of those times. I think those may have been the first episodes I ever watched of DBZ, with Goku tearing apart the Ginyu Force effortlessly. Good times :) Enjoy!

The Ginyu Force are silly by todays standards, but they really challenged shonen tropes at the time by basically making the Power Rangers, but on the side of evil

The Ginyu force is a parody of Super SENTAI and Tokusatsu. Which is what power rangers takes its footage from. The first season of said show began in the 70s with goranger.
Also story arc is that Frieza was in search of the strongest warriors to join the Ginyu force and watch stopped by Goku on earth so yeah it was never a complete team. Honestly they could have used a Saiyan commander who is loyal to Frieza and helped train him to gold once resurrected (reviving a new and stronger Ginyu force )...they could have that storyline in the F movie, but what do I know... 🤷
It’s cool that the American theme somewhat sounds like the guitar riffs for Power Rangers, mirroring the Sentai parody theme

Little known fact: power rangers and Dbz does have a connection. The first English dub (aka the ocean dub) used the intro Rock the dragon. That intro was written by Ron wasserman, the same artist who wrote the original power rangers theme.
2:03 if you play this at 1.05 speed, it really gives that 90s Power Rangers feel. This whole track is a great update to one of the greatest themes that cemented the new score of DBZ. Let's face it, it was when Goku went Kaioken on Captain Ginyu and this theme was playing that sealed it for us all.

Whether it be the original theme from the Japanese version, the Bruce Faulconer version of the English dub or Tokusentai from Kai, we can all agree on one thing: when it comes to their BGMs, Ginyu Force rules.

Ginyu Force recently got added to Dragon Ball The Breakers (two days ago), and they've gotten so much love from the developers (extra animations, dialogue, etc).

Reminds me of the first time I saw the uncut funimation when those new episodes came out. That was a bad ass time. I watched the Ocean dub as a little kid for so long up to the point where Goku arrives on Namek. I didn't realize DBZ could be so badass when I first saw these - that Frieza vs Nail fight was the first time I saw how violent it could be and how terrifying Frieza really was. Made me a long time anime fan.
I know what you mean. I had the same experience- I actually don’t think I even saw the beginning of Z, but started sometime around here and for some reason I still connected with it in ways I can’t describe even without the beginning of the story. It was just fricken AWESOME
@@GladiusThemes Yup we were those kids who started watching DBZ on Saturday morning cartoons when it was on cartoon network. Then years later I caught the Namek saga on Toonami on Cartoon Network which played up to Goku's arrival for years. And then the Funimation Frieza Saga came out and that's when I became a true anime fan for life! lol. I have to imagine many US kids started watching anime this way.

Heck yeah. This was one of my favourites and definitely one of the most underrated songs of the era.
That was the thing about DBZ soundtrack though - ALL of it was great, to the point where even a jamming song like this barely gets covered in comparison to a lot of the DBZ character themes.
It was truly a magnificent and unique soundtrack, I’m always amazed at how it hits me even to this day; the way it hit me when I was a kid watching DBZ.

Man I love that you connected it with my version of this theme :) I always thought it was so cool when we first heard it when Goku showed up and fought the Ginyu force- in a way, I thought it was more for him handling them with ease 😂

This is more like Goku’s theme during the namek saga tbh. Played more when he did amazing things, just so happened it played first against the Ginyus.

Weird things you notice staring at this picture, volume 32: Apparently Jeice is the only member of the Ginyu's that has any eyebrows.
Wow.. I drew it and I didn’t notice haha I’m so used to accepting what they look like- they all have those SSJ3 eye ridges except Jeice 😂
Ill never forget when this theme was playing while Goku was powering up for Jeice and Ginyu, then Jeice says while he's trembling "150,000....UNREeEeEeEeEAL"

Such a good song, you're the man. If I can give a song suggestion, you've done mostly Faulconer team tracks and I love that you credit the guy who actually worked on the song, but maybe some Super tracks here and there, my favorite is Power To Resist, I think that would go hard with your style!

I love your Dragon Ball Remakes Man, especially this one hits hard. Is it possible in the future for you to make a remake of the "Goku Battles" and the "Vegeta vs Zarbon" Themes (I think the Song is called "Get What's Coming" by Nathan M. Johnson). Would be amazing!

It was never officially released I guess. It played in the Vegeta vs Zarbon and Vegeta vs Rikuum fights. As far as I know it goes by the title "Get what's coming"

@@GladiusThemes Well, I was thinking what the most powerful form possible would be, and given what we have thus far, I came up with that. I figure since Blue is just Super Saiyan in God, it could go as high as regular Super Saiyan forms, so 4 (it's not canon, but I doubt they'll ever do this, so). Then Evolve it like Vegeta did, and stack Kaioken on top, x50 because big number make cool. Then with Ultra Instinct on top, this . . . Saiyan Beyond form would be pretty much unmatched
There may be fanart of it, I doubt I'd be the first to combine everything we've seen, but if I am, cool!
As for what it would look like, I imagine Super Saiyan 4 but dark blue, with silver accents and a light purple aura (Red from Kaioken plus blue from the Super god ki, and it being a lighter shade because of Ultra Instinct)
Like I said, crazy form.

The soundtrack is truly legendary! You may or may not know this, but Bruce Faulconer mostly just facilitated the production on the soundtrack with his studio, rather than composing it. I believe he did work on about 6 or 7 tracks out of the hundreds that his team Mike Smith, Scott Morgan & Julius Dobos themselves composed. They are the ones to commend ☺️ I always make sure to put the respective composers names in my tracks to properly credit them. Not a fan of the new instruments at 0:21. Same at 2:04. I prefer the original . It doesn't have same ginyu feel. Cool concept though.
Another cool thing at 1:08 would have been looping the song back to the beginning 1-2 times. Youll see ginyu force extended themes that do this. The show does as well.
