I live in Massachusetts & have a couple friends in New Hampshire that own legal firearms & I was with one of my friends going to do some target shooting & even going to the gun stores to buy ammunition we could not find any 9mm or .44 magnum after going to 5 different stores. I don't know if it was because there was a shortage of ammunition at the time or what the problem was but I'd have to imagine that it wouldn't be easy to find .44 shells in Chicago.
