Henry, the seed looks red and green In some of the shots. Are you putting a seed treatment on at the same time as you clean. Or is it just the video showing the grain colour in a different light? Your farm looks very organised, a credit to you and your dad.

Kinda handy when the wire’s a mind reader like that.
The seed cleaning setup’s quite the menagerie. Do/can you add any coatings while cleaning?
A long, but productive day. Maybe the auger will fix itself on the way back to Luke’s.

Nice work Henry. Absolute precision setting up everything for the seed cleaning, having the two tippers appeared to make the job a lot easier. Did you find you ended up with a lot more screenings due to having to harvest so low?

Is that why it looked green going in to the bin on the video

How many tons of each seed do you clean? And how many acres does it cover? Sorry just interesting.

Im a non grain farmer and understand the cost of seed, but, if you keep inferior seed surely that affects future crop yields. Plus its not the latest grain varieties.
Do you not buy some new grain varieties yearly to keep solely for future seed.

@paulholmes7444 I got a new variety of barley this year and changed my beans last year. As long as it yields well and is relatively resistant to disease, then there's not really any reason to change. The wheat was beautiful quality last year going top grade or H1, so no drama with quality. That's also why you clean it, to make sure only the best stuff stays behind.
