Also, try to set it to higher temperature and take them out as soon as they float on top. Couple seconds more, and they'd burn.

And You may not notice it....) put them on a wire grate, Bought from walmart for 3 dollars, Very good for draining/cooling.
Some people: We chopping these chips with a knife. Other: put them in a food processor. My grandma when making Mexican chicken: put them in a zip lock bag and smack em.
