Definitely dreamy ...... and adorable! A star of the Hollywood Musicals era and radio and recording. One of my favourites, Allison. Thanks for sharing.
One of a kind voice. Thanks for the memories. Alice was.superb in movies and great on radio. Those truly were the days. Much better than the music offered as entertainment today!
I say ‘WOW’ too, John. Alice was special. There was something about her that can’t be put into words. Fabulous vocalist, good actress, but above all ..... a lovely person who we fans all wanted to get to know. Her films and song renditions will live on .... she is one of the Hollywood elite!
This video is beautiful. I love these old musicals. Alice and those women had such beautiful voices, and I love the long beautiful dresses they all wore back then
Alice was a sparkling 21 years old when this picture was made. She was quite the star already at this point and would enjoy many more years in the motion picture industry before walking away to pursue family life.
I love those beautiful voices in Alice and the chorus. And those beautiful long dresses they wore. In these old films from the 1930s and 1940s, those beautiful voices and beautiful long dresses seemed to always go hand in hand together, you just didn't get one without the other
The elegance and style of the Hollywood movies, back then, is a joy to watch. You are so right, Alvex. . These movies have the full package of voice, looks and costume. I am particularly fond of the wonderful hats the women wore then. Spectacular fashion statements! There aren't many who come near to Alice when it comes to vocals. Fabulous voice. Thank you for your comment.
Oh! Alice Faye is so lovely. Look at her beautiful eyes and soft wavy hair. It's easy to understand why many in my family and among my friends had a crush on this gorgeous woman. Her mellow voice is so appealing.. Not like all the screaming and screeching and non-stop (rap) talking you hear today.
Yes, Tommy, you are absolutely right! Alice is truly lovely and we are so privileged to have all her appearances on film! I totally agree with you regarding today’s so-called music. Rap? No siree .... I’ll take Alice any Day! Thank-you for commenting!
@@MinstrelSurfer, such a beautiful voice with Alice and the women chorus. Those beautiful voices and those long beautiful dresses they wore always seemed to go together in these old films
She was a huge star in the United States, but I read she was even bigger in the UK. Her films continued to run in theaters long after she left the business in 1945.
MinstrelSurfer, really enjoyed this video featuring the talented Alice Faye. But who is the beautiful dark haired singer in the middle at 2:322:432:513:08 and 3:16?
I love her voice and this song. If I have to compare to "modern" songs I would say Lady Gaga or (early) Madonna or even Christina Aguilera but am talking about their voices only and not the crap they sing.
Thank you for commenting, Ivan. It’s good to indulge in a little fantasy .... especially with our lovely Alice! Hope your real life gets some sparkle soon!
@@MinstrelSurfer I won't deny it does get sparkles from time to time. The beauty of the night sky is the contrast between the shine of stars and the darkness and void and emptiness surrounding them, right? These videos are certainly shining stars in our lives, thank you for posting!
I like your reply. Ivan. Quite poetic in a way! I think, like me, you are a romantic! Wish there were more of us in the world today.! Guess that’s why we have to indulge ourselves in these wonderful old movies. I am grateful to all my subscribers who post comments. It makes me happy to know that these clips are appreciated.
@@LB-sz7md Three stars in special take me from the deep to the moon: Alice Faye, Ella Fitzgerald and Lisa Hannigan. Blessings to you Jake, all the best!
I completely adore her! Had the great honor of knowing her during the 1980's! She is an angel inside and out and endlessly talented! Miss her so much!
Wow. Heard her name for years, but never connected the talent. Then I read her IMDB bio. Truly one of the greats. I've become a fan in 2022.
I am addicted to her songs1 What a voice!
Dreamy Alice Faye.❤

She had it all, and a natural rythm, perfection!
I worked for an attorney who used to sing this song all the time. So nice hearing the talented Alice Faye sing it so beautifully.💕
I don't know how I found this gem, but wow, I rest my case.
Did he charm any of the Judges he appeared before? Or were such performances ruled irrelevant, immaterial, and out of order?
One of my dear dad’s favourites- and I can see why! Great looks and what a voice
Pure class! Great timing and composure. A delight to watch!
What a delightful performance from the beautiful Alice Faye!
She is the best. My grandparents played records. Her delivery is excellent.
She was gorgeous!
Matthew Shivas the women from these days are just somehow superior to the ones of today. they had class and grace. not like today

Another fan chiming in .... LOVE ALICE ! Thanks for the post !
She was a huge star in the United States, but I read she was even bigger in the UK. Her films continued to run in theaters long after she left the business in 1945.
She came back in 1962 and filmed State Fair with Pat Boone, Bobby Darin, Ann-Margret, Tom Ewell, & Pamela Tiffin.
Sublime version! Talent d'une précocitè !
EXCELLENT💖 FABOULOUS 💛AWESOME 💜OUTSTANDING AMAZING 💚
