Great video and detail-thank you. I got a abnormal sound when blower on high an less one speed down- normal on speeds 1&2. Almost sounds like leaves against the fan fins. This is a 2016 HR-V with only 14k. I will access, test, inspect then take it from there. Thanks again

This is a great video. The blower on my 2013 CRV was making noise during a recent trip. During the trip air velocity was low even though the car was warmed up and the blower speed was on high.
I found that the cabin filter was relatively clean.
I checked voltage with the blower off and found 12.49V. With just the ignition on (engine off), the voltage ranged from 12.49 from low speed to 11.67 with the blower on high. Does this indicate a failing blower?

You need to test the resistor under the dash it will hold steady and mine was on high and once warm it would go up and down in its own so I just change blower motor and filter and fixed it

@@embracetheoutdoors7232 Yesterday, I was checking to see that all of the relays were seated in the engine compartment fuse box and found several starting to loosen that were quickly re-seated. Ten and a half years of driving over RR tracks may have affected those relays. (Unfortunately, Honda does a poor job of labeling. When I get home, I will print a diagram with each identified.) I then took the car for a drive for about forty minutes and the car warmed up but the problem never manifested. I have a two-day drive home later this week to verify if I still have a problem. I'm putting this issue on my watch list. If it happens again, I'll change the blower motor and the resistor.

Question: how did you remove the glovebox door? I have the same exact make model and need to replace the AC fan motor also.

I think I messed up the resistor somehow. Fuse looks ok. It doesn't blow at all

I’d say your blower motor either has stuff in it or something need to take it out see if there debris in there if not try a new motor

Good chance there is a squirrel or mouse or mouse nest in there

Having the same issue with my Honda. So I should get a volt meter first to check if it's the resistor that needs changing BEFORE I go and get a new blower??

    • @embracetheoutdoors7232

I’ll have to look again but you will see it behind blower motor looks like a inline fuse you can see if it’s popped

I'm pretty sure its in the engine compartment fuse box 40A.

Mine would turn on and turn off at random times. Now it doesn't want to turn on at all.
