I love these "reviews" of RUclips videos where the person doesn't even have the unit in hand. Videos saying "it doesn't have a browser, etc.". If I wanted to watch Netflix or RUclips I'll use my tablet or phone. As far as public hotspots or public wifi - that doesnt bother me because I bought it to play at home. I also have 2 young kids and it enables me to move around the house while playing games. The screen is great and makes everything just pops! My battery has been great while streaming games. I haven't had any lag issues. The only knock I have against it is no Bluetooth. I feel like that's a ridiculous issue to have. But the Portal does one thing and it does it great! I feel like this was made for one specific demographic. For people that are able to sit down and play videogames on their main TV, I get it, you don't need it. I have zero regrets buying the PS Portal.
And also all this RUclipsrs say a lot of people don’t know what the Portal is. We are not that ignorant to be honest and Sony couldn’t have been more clear. I’m starting to get annoyed but these kids thinking they only know the truth
I love how you just are basically using confirmation bias to justify why you bought it, but when it real use cases it sucks as a overall product. Playstation is marketing has a device you can play anywhere. Ahuh LOL
@@MikeMatu92 @MikeMatu92 confirmation bias? I actually have the device in hand & I'm explaining my experience with it. I've had zero issues with it so far. Maybe you're looking for a different device but the Portal does what I need it to & that's all that matters for me. For the 100th time I get that it's not for everyone but I'm happy with my purchase.

It's ridiculius even to have 1 console on to play on a hendheld device, cause why ... but to have ps4/5 on, then the Portal, and also a mobile hotspot sharing on you phone, that's total nonsense. This is such a non issue. The chances of a public WiFi at an airport or cafe being fast enough for remote play is so slim. How hard is it for people to understand the purpose of this device. It's an accessory, that's it. I've got one and it's ideal for people who don't always have access to the TV where the ps5 is set up. £200 isn't a bad price when you consider a dual sense controller is £60-70. The constant crapping on this device by people is becoming too much
Maybe I want one dedicated device? Was playing in bed last night and it was a great experience. This 'reviewer' made a video shitting on it and doesn't even have the device in his hand!. The people who have actually used the thing like it for what it is, a dedicated remote play accessory.
Regarding getting another screen, goodbye convenience, not to mention having to lug the PS5 around the house, no thanks. Regarding the phone, I don't game on my phone as that's a complete waste of its battery life. The people who the Portal are not for really seem to struggle to understand that there actually IS a use case for this device and that use case likely just doesn't include them. Myself? I have a family, I don't always have access to the television, with my Portal I can still play in that situation. It's fantastic.
Thank you! The PlayStation portal is so stupid. I made a video on my channel & the fan boys came at me lol Must use wifi, can’t use public wifi, doesn’t have Bluetooth so you have to buy their PlayStation earphones for an additional cost. It’s not worth it. Especially if you’re someone that travels. Which I thought the point of handheld was to play on the go but there not even fully possible. Sony can just create anything and folks will buy. But hey, if ppl are fine with playing it in their home, good for them.
just make a hotspot with your phone. theres no reason why it wouldnt be smooth with 5g. you would definitely buy it even if you had a billion dollars because that would be like a penny for you.
You’re paying $200 to beta test this streaming device for Sony - You’re the product.

@@MikeMatu92 Actually the marketing has been pushing playing from home, probably because the experience out of the house is not as good.
I’d be interested in seeing a poll on how many people actually use it outside of their home network, Id guess that they would be in the minority.

There’s a way to connect it through your laptop first . If you have one
