As a city fan i agree with everything you said in this video. Ultraweave is sh*t and even our players get their kits torn easily by other players because how freaking thin it is. The replica should be authentic because drycell is way better. Also, the replica is more high quality. What the shirt should have been is drycell all over and they can still have all their logos heat transferred and with the puma licensed logo at the bottom, it should be the authentic version because the hologrpahic style just looks beautiful
I do love international shirts cos a big part of having a shirt is it show it off and do so in sports I trained in a United player shirt (shit.. did I just blow my cover?) like twice and the friction seems to have started rubbing tiny bits of the adidas stripes away It’s good to wear sponsorless shirts or ones with stitched sponsors cos they never wash off My 97 United shirt has the sharp letters printed/dyed in Some training shirts look nice when the sponsor washes off and leaves no grime behind Whenever I got a white kit I’m scared to wear it cos if it gets stained then it will be ruined when washed
@@TheTyroofToriyama haha great comment. Your cover is blown!! 😂 they are supposed to be less friction but I can definitely understand the rubbing off bit. It is only a transfer. The stand out fan shirts I Prefer that I have reviewed are the England Shirt, the Juve shirt and definitely the city shirt because I detest that drycell puma material lol
Not a city fan myself the replica one is far superior quality embroidered badges are more quality and not stuck on like a sticker nuff said, an excellent video of a close inspection of a football shirt xx
I predict City shirts will gradually get more unique and pattern-oriented Just like United their kit needs to be full of a plain colour, so the only way to make interesting shirts is to not do that anymore I can imagine that one day we’ll see horizontal lines and all sorts because it’s hard to make them stand out
Shirt makers seem to be getting more in tune with look back shirts or “inspired by” type designs, which of course is all Good and well but sometimes we need bold styling and patterns etc like you say.
@@alasone Ikr. Tbf City are doing this already cos they got their broken ice shirt which me and other United fans secretly liked a tiny bit I can see them trying out more wild designs while the kit stays blue. Texturing is better than ever before and it hardly existed during the early 2000’s at least not on fan shirts. Even when they did texture they just punched a load of circular holes into everything and changed the placement to make patterns. Nowadays they have varying levels of depth to the fabric and it’s just insane.. look at the texture on the Nike shirts (Barca, PSG, LFC, Portugal) so City will eventually run outta ideas and then they’d start trying new things… I think City should do what all clubs do… Just make more away kits out of their main colours… blue, white, and navy. Make a white kit with blue details just like the usual colours reversed. They use the neon yellow so much that they act like it’s part of their history. They’re infamously bad for making their spare kits. They should make some much more classic and the home shirts much more unique
@@alasone Dead true btw every kit is a remake of another kit… Soon they be remaking this year’s United shirt which is already based on an old shirt I hope they start doing something really unique and maybe even make fans mad to make them interested again. Tbf the fact they change them so often means we can get away from ones we don’t like Do stuff like a black, red n white home kit for United like the flag is turned upside down Do a special alt home kit for yellow n green. Athletico did blue and white which is nothing like their main stuff but still has a place there I should design them asap cos I’m good on computer and make designs of all sorts for years
Puma shirts in replica form are much better than the authentic Puma. The player version authentic material is terrible and I’m not a fan of it. It’s far too thin. I show just how bad and thin it is around 5:30 mark for difference in thickness etc.
@avidcule the replica isn’t too bad at all. Nike feels more harder wearing and more robust maybe but the normal dry cell of Puma (replica) I would prefer personally.
Both slim fit yes but the authentic is more hugging if that makes sense but because it’s so thin you can’t really much tell. I do still prefer the replica version even still. Thanks for watching ⚽️
As a United fan myself it’s hard for me to say but this was an instant likable shirt for me. The collar especially. Thanks for all the views and comments mate, really appreciate it as always. Thanks for watching! ⚽️⚽️⚽️
@alasone has to be the away. I love the rosy gold colours of the emblem and the sponsor. I also love the patterns that runs through the shirt which is a cream colour and last but not least the collar is cool and the inside of it with the purple etihad stadium (it doesn't have the postcode like the home shirt version).
@@alasoneJust because I’d never had a printed badge I love them On the Milan shirts (puma template but a unique collar) the badge is a soft but thick rubber material, the stripes and letters are all 3d so it looks nice
Yeah so I did get scammed smh the replica isn’t the authentic which is the one I have and I prefer the ultra thin. That technology is so amazing how thin and breathable it is. Much better for playing and feels like you’re a player
Hi, i recently bought the player version, but i’m not sure with the sizing, can you help me describing me how’s the L compared with the stadium version please 🙏🏻 great video
The stadium shirt on this shirt is a thicker material. More robust and harder wearing. Much heavier too. It is shorter than your player version though. Any more questions just let me know. Thanks for watching ⚽️⚽️
Ngl this is really problematic. They change kits too often already. It would be good to keep all kits for two years just cos they don’t last long enough when we get good ones… Even tho DHgate makes it easy to buy perfect looking kits and the whole set for less than one official shirt costs, it’s still too much to keep up with and my drawers are getting full of them. The main issue is that they’re keeping parts of the template even when changing the kit and it gives me bad OCD… PSG shirts have the same stitched line and texture on the shirt as they did last year but I don’t want two of the same template (inter + PSG) let alone seeing the same styled tailoring… they just clash in the collection If they make new kits every year then why wouldn’t they do the same for the material, club letters and template??
100% agree with you. We should go back to 2 year kit renewals like yesteryear and just like the MLS do. I am actually getting both PSG Versions soon and also a DHGate fake to compare. So I’m looking forward to those. The Adidas template and Nike template I call carbon copies myself. We cannot see this on next years shirts or there will be outrage haha 😂 thanks again, great comment
I'm thinking about buying an authentic, but i am not sure about de size. I have an M fan version and it fits me well, a little bit loose on the chest. What would you recommend to me?
