  • Making A Closed Terrarium For Isopods (Mega ASMR Sounds!)
My aim for this video was to show the viewer the full process of making a terrarium. I wanted a raw, minimally edited video that had no narration or subtitles throughout and focused mainly on the visual and aural aspects of a terrarium build. I find it a meditative and relaxing experience and wanted to convey that as best I could.
    Hope you enjoy it!

Absolutely awesome. Make some updates how it grows. Well...you could make a video about your earliest projects... please.
I made multilayered terrarium with one side always in shadow with a rocks, barks, leafs and small brunches...and another side with a light and lots of plants like moss, ivy, and some local plants. Jungle like.
      It's a kingdom for...
      Isopods
      Centipedes
      Millipedes
      Springtails
      Firebrats
      Mites
      3 Snails
      1 Slug
      Spiders
      Beetles
      Earthworms
      ...and 1 Ladybug
      +some other species I didn't figured yet.
I think closed ecosystems can be great idea for kids...if they're into biology.

i'm an avid gardener who is interested in terrariums as well. I wanted to watch a few videos on perhaps what tools, different materials to use for what seems a very detailed yet relaxing hobby (at least the way you do it).🥰. I appreciate the very nice way you approached this and boy what a beautiful world you created for your woodlice. I hope they are appreciative as well. Thank you for your time and generous sharing of your skills.

That one isopod that got flipped over when being transferred to the terrarium got me emotionally attached to him lol also in my head cannon of the terrarium, he was the same isopod that was furiously trying to get out and fiercely scurried against the glass for a hot second when u were putting plants on the bark.

That turned out absolutely beautiful. I was searching for inspiration for making a new terrarium for my isopod colony which has out grown their plastic tub. I could see myself making something like this as I have both aquariums and terrariums. But how do you keep the fungus gnats out of your terrariums with holes in the lids? I had to close all of mine.

Beautiful made. I thought it would be a closed off terarium, but it's not. I bread Zebra's, clowns, panda isopods and several kinds of springtales.
12 of my zebra isopods do live in a fully closed, airtight terrarium and do extremely well, I see tiny isopods everywhere. They don't care much about the old leaves, they love my moss and very smal plants with tiny leaves. Hmm :) I feed mine once a month fishpallets (isopods love it to) with calcium on top. It is important to keep their outside skeleton in good condition. Eggshell broken into very tiny pieces works to.
Also eople, make sure the humidity in your terrarium is good, parts of the soil need to be a but wet. Otherwise they can not loose their skin and will die. Thy need god humidity to let them thrive. Otherwise the leaves would not break down and that sis what they love to eat. AND the srpingtales.
