I would stay back with the family as their extra son as he would go off to pan for Au on the river's edge. He would do this all summer as his dad and I flew back. The dad would fly back without me of course and Garth would still be panning. 4 years of this he got the stuff to refine the gold in their shed, getting it to 20 karat. He sold what he made in 4 years time, added it to his dad's investment firm, and it would be enough to put him through OSU 4 years later.

The sluice? I guess they do slightly resemble an old metal slide.
Well that youtuber is partially right, but it depends on the local regulations for prospecting in the area you want to work. In some areas you can't use various equipment without a gold claim while in others you can. Like in my area I can use a sluice all I want on public unclaimed areas, I just can't use a motorized pump to pump water through it away from a water source.
Always remember to check land status and your local regulations, on top of federal and state regulations.

My uncle made 10's of thousands of dollars doing this. Showed me a bunch of full viles of it. Had a whole set up at his crib with buckets and shit.😂 That was just one of his many side hustles, he also owns a tile construction company, a weed farm, a restaurant that sells weed infused food (sometimes his own garden food), and owns property. I was always blown away by how busy he was and how much money i'd imagine him making, all while still finding the time to do shit like searching for the 7 cities of gold 😂😭

As usual most folks are ignorant as to the true value of panning for gold! I am 75, been retired (foot loose and fancy free) for 20 years, am financial stable for the rest of my life but would love nothing better than buying one of these sluices and go gold panning FOR THE SHEER ENJOYMENT OF IT!

Так странно осознавать, что люди ходят по земле, где буквально в метре под землей лежит самородковое золото. У нас тут такого и близко нет. Одни болота, реже просто лес.
