Here is the second Harry Potter DIY tutorial. How to knit a harry potter scarf. This can be personalized to however you desire, and which ever house color you choose. You can make it as a gift for your friends or for yourself. It's the perfect present for Halloween, Christmas or simply just because you want one. This was a really fun project and I hope my instructions are clear and informative. The yarn stitch marker is the freaking smartest thing I’ve seen and I don’t know why I never thought of doing that. Same with the tail and working yarn together for a clean finish.

i know i’m super late but does it matter if you have a longer round needle because i told my mom to get a 16in but she ended up getting a 29in like do i cast on more and if so would you know how many more ??
Can you use straight needles for this scarf I cant use round needles.

I used an acrylic yarn, but you can you whatever you prefer😊

I'm pretty late lol but what does kniitting in the round change? I've never done it before and I dont really understant it..

Knitting in the round means knitting a tube without a seam. "In order to knit a tube that has no seam you must join your cast-on into a circle to form the base of your tube. Your first worked stitch will be your first cast-on stitch, rather than your last as is the case with flat knitting." I hope that helps!! It's the first time I tried this way and I like it a lot, I personally think it gives it a really clean and professional look to it💕

how do you get the tail and the working yarn to the same side? because the tail on mine is on the opposite side of the working yarn
When you start, wrap them both around the first loop together, and then let go of the tail end and continue with the working yarn. They don't have to be on the same side, you just manipulate them where you want them to be. I hope that made sense 💕 I think I understand what you meant(:

Can I do this with normal knitting needles?
yes, you totally can! I'm doing mine with straight needles, you knit row 1 and then purl row 2 and repeat the rest, when changing colors make sure you're about to knit... wrong side should alway be on the purl side. you can leave it flat and try no to show the wrong side OR you could fold it and join the sides to make it round like hers.

I'm still stuck on 51 stitches. I just did a scarf with 30 and it was HUGE! *realizes it's because my knitting needles are 10mm* I'm an idiot lol
