    • @JesusFriedChrist
      @JesusFriedChrist 21 день назад +2

      And the Jets have been way overhyped by the media this year just like the Canucks have, and just like the Leafs and Oilers are massively overhyped every year. There’s a reason I have all 4 Canadian teams losing in the first round for my playoff bracket. Even if I’m wrong and 1 or 2 teams manage to make it to the second round because they got the luck of being dealt weak first round opponents, none of them will get past the second round once they start to face real competition.
      The Avs, Canes, Cats, and Rags are the contenders this year, and I have the Avs beating the Canes to take the Cup. 230 points between Mack and Makar in the regular season this year-career highs for both iirc.
      And before someone says “what about the Stars?”, I have them losing in the first round too. They’re not as good as they’re made out to be either, and I think last years’ cup winner is going to give them more than a run on their money.
      Besides, Calgary is trying to rebuild and if Vegas wins a round, one of their conditional picks that they got with the Hanifin trade gets upgraded from a 3rd round pick to the 2nd round pick iirc. So Cale Makar will very likely bring the Cup home to Calgary yet again, AND we’ll get better drafts for our rebuild.

      @@soulknife20 Dallas is a good team but with an inconsistent goalie. They finished the season 12-2 in their last 14 games. That's not a fluke. Vegas is also a good team with inconsistent goaltending, just like the Avs and Oilers. It's funny how most of the western teams have strong offences but questionable goaltending. Vancouver and Winnipeg were the only teams with Vezina candidates going into the playoffs but now Demko's hurt and Hellybuyck has a GAA of over 5. It's like the 80s again where someone is likely going to win the West with a goalie with a GAA of over 3.
