There was a theory going around that Slipstream had had enough of Windblade getting the upper hand and so decided to scan the very jet that the latter transformed into in order to even the playing field in a rivalry similar to that of Twitch and Spitfire from the second season of EarthSpark. Also, the Skullgrin figure that Quake is heavily retooled from was originally released in 2022.
Windblade was a great figure, I love that figure, but I don't think she is the right mold for Slipstream. Slipstream isn't just a purple and teal jet girl, she's a SEEKER, we need a proper female Seeker mold not only for her but also for Skywarp, Nova Storm, and all the other girl seekers that exist now. Sadly the closest thing we have to a female seeker mold is Shrike's Feather from Iron Factory, I want something like that but OFFICIAL!
This is the first review I’ve seen to praise missing link at home. I personally love the figure and aside from minor knee bend issues in the legs and worrying arm transformation joints my figure is fantastic.
my g1 style Optimus was from the batch with light piping painted over with puke green/ mucus yellow colour. The forearm hand/headlights rotating pieces could be the parts which would be most likely to break. This is a figure that would have been great, had there not been a missing link figure. I still like it, but it feels like a parody rather than an homage to the vintage g1. Btw keep your eyes peeled for the KO missing link Optimus coming out on Aliexpress.
Star stream, I practically grow up watching him hearing his voice. He’s like one of my favorite Deceptacon of all time sideways is my other favorite the more evil motorcycle one and knock out my favorite muscle car Deceptacon.
Highly debatable, but IF the next collaboration figure will be one of id Software's classic shooter games (Doom, Wolfenstein, Quake)i'd love to see this mold being used as Ranger from the first Quake game. Perhaps with a load of weapon accessories.
Quake's Targetmasters are how they should be. They are accurate to how they were in G1 and are basically regular guns with a little robot underneath. They're not going to be anything more than that and having a Battle Master or even Pointblank's Targetmaster just isn't going to happen, especially since Quake is a Double Targetmaster and requires two of them.
A repaint of OP so I do not have to get another one in the old style colors would be appreciated. I like Slipstream and Quake. Feel sorry for anyone who disparaged them, perfectly decent pair of figures.
I really like Skullgrin. He’s ridiculous in a good way. Like, he’s a scifi tank that turns into a demon, why be picky? Been watching Quake reviews cuz i was pleasantly surprised by the original when i got him about 15 years ago. Lot of people rip on him. I don’t have any other Slipstream so I think this one will do
Its not just you, balt. I think the head is way too big. They could have stylized her head more like her cyberverse style, or hell even have made it more loke her animated appearance. This head feels like a block on top of what is otherwise a fairly streamlined body.
TBH, I am disappointed with Quake. It's a downgrade from G1 and the Titans Return figure, especially the targetmasters. Slipstream's okay, but G1 prime comes across as the Missing Link Prime at home kind of disappointment.
They screwed up with Skullgrin AND Bombburst because Blood never should've been a friggen core class. Wtf. Mark Maher is smoking his own fumes because Cancer also was also a terrible design choice

Got G1 Prime this week and it is fabulous, such a chunky old-school design with modern sensibilities.

Quake's bot mode is nice and blocky but that brick tank mode is weird.

I've only seen one Slipstream in store but her head had been stolen, hoping to find these three(complete) soon.

When I have Slipstream in vehicle mode I have the arms turned to have the fins pointing down and use the are holes to hold her guns
I wished Windblade came with guns considering she used them in jet mode in RID 2015, Cyberverse, and even Power of the Primes.
