I have never really understood why an attempt at murder charge recieves a lesser sentence than an actual murder charge? Why should the sentence be less because the criminal was less competent at what they were trying to do, compared to a criminal who actually achieved their goal ? The intention was exactly the same, to murder someone. To me that does not make sense.

I remember an Ethiopian refugee who lived in Switzerland, travelling to Frankfurt for this purpose where he pushed a mother, her 8year old son and an elderly lady onto the tracks while an ICE train was coming in. The streets are filthy where I live and there is always something crime related going on. I dont go out after certain times unless im in an Uber. And me my Friend, I feel like a stranger in my own City. Where I live I hardly here the English language being spoke. The streets are filthy where I live and there is always something crime related going on. I dont go out after certain times unless im in an Uber. This Country is scary now and I fear for my kids safety.
Many feel the same way but we can’t give up. At 70 years of age I refuse to be trapped in my own home so I go out and just make sure I’m constantly aware of who’s around me and more importantly don’t act like a victim. Some EU countries are starting to ignore the ECHR and return these individuals which will gain impetus. Most of our UK politicians are cowards and will only do something once others take the lead, if they don’t react they’ll be replaced. Forget the WEF ridden Labour and Conservative parties and vote Reform, they aren’t perfect but I feel we at least have a fighting chance if they are leading the country.
Look after yourself. Things will get better.
