    There are two latches as shown in the video that slide to the sides, that would release the battery.

    The battery is molded, you have to crack it open.

    RAM can extend upto?? 8gb?

    I want to upgrade an old Compaq 610 with an SSD. You can just replace the hdd with an ssd and put it in the metal frame that is seen in the video, can't you? For example a Kingston V300 or HyperX.

      The answer is yes. You install the ssd in that metal thingy and put it back. Works like a charm. I also put the old hdd into an external hdd case, so I now have a faster laptop with an ssd and an external hard drive for back up. ;)

      Vanessza Gerencsér did it improve the performance, I find the cpu to be the bottleneck of the whole system
      ram coming second but on lite linux versions it is not an issue.

      I also upgraded to 4gb ram before, but I can say it did improve performance. You still can't run big apps very well, but for everyday use, browsing and office work it is a huge improvement. Boot time is about 18-19 seconds according to Boot Racer, which is 4-5 second faster than my pc (i5-4460, 8gb ram and an ssd).
