One of my all-time favorite shows, I've watched season 1 especially countlese times, it's so good!
The Malvo character was largely inspired by a Soviet era novel called 'The Master and Margarita', which is also the basis for a very famous Rolling Stones/Guns 'N Roses song.
I love when people watch Fargo

I'm glad to see you reacting to Fargo. I recently watched it and enjoyed it. I was bit a bit disappointed with S4 but I think S5 got back on track.
s1, 2 and 5 are all equally amazing in my opinion.
For some reason I thought of the word "squidging" like two hours before watching this. I don't think I ever thought of it before. Weird.

The best pilot ever
If you like Coen Bros, try "Barton Fink" - it's their first masterpiece. I don't think any of their later films surpassed it.
I'd argue their first masterpiece ( of many ) is in fact 1990's Miller's Crossing, my personal Favorite Coen Bros movie. Written dead center of Miller's Crossing as they had writers block, which explains why Barton Fink had writers block in the movie.

@@catch-uppackets2664that’s cool! I’ve seen this show a couple of times but for some reason never really thought about where I’d rank the pilot. Maybe just because I’ve seen it less than Lost and breaking bad etc. it’s definitely a strong pilot though!
At least watch season 2. It falls off after that.
Hey buddy on the left, if you have seen the show Stop leading the witness ( reactor ) and discussions. You should be a silent observer who answers questions of confusion without alluding to anything in the future. Hell as I am typing this you just mention Malvo is causing chaos his whole life! Jeebus, surprised you didn't mention his cassette tape collection. Hell now you are mentioning aspects of the show through all 5 seasons! Shut it!!
Yeah, a lot of party fouls in this one. Also turning and staring at his buddy is kinda unsettling. Let the guy watch without hinting that something is coming.
