_Wow! Another bus journey! Great Alan! Many thanks mate. Your Shopping Belt Bus journeys are getting to be so good that SBS Transit might be knocking on your door for sponsorship, promotion and more hyperlapse bus journeys! Well done Alan! Take care chief Discoverer!_ 🇸🇬😃👍😉
Haha. As usual I don't think they need me to sponsor. More like I need them so I can film. Maybe one day they give me access to film for those single decker bus services 😉
Jeremy good sense of humour 👏
@@pllin240 Hehe many thanks PlL😂
I just returned home (US) from Singapore two days ago and I must say they have a great bus and train system there. I road the MRT the entire time and was able to move around in good time, I loved it. I live in Houston and thus system would work wonders here.
Thankful you have a pleasant experience in Singapore. Hope you will have time to come by again. In another 10yrs, more rail lines will be up and you can visit more of our residential areas
Amazing bus Ride through the heart and soul of Singapore...Enjoyed it immensely !..
Thanks Linda 🤗 glad to know you enjoyed it
Very nice!! Love the gradual transition from old-school tradition suburban Singapore to new-age modern metropolitan Singapore.

Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Wonderful...absolutely wonderful 👍😊. I didn't get the chance to comment on the first bus ride but, I've enjoyed both videos Alan. As a hopeful visitor to Singapore someday, the bus ride videos were actually informational...for how to get around the city 🌆 🏙️ via, a bus ride. I'm excited for a possible next bus tag-a-long with you. Travel safe Alan, rest easy 🌻☕🤗
Thanks Candy 😁 glad for the opportunity to show a different side of Singapore

Glad you think so Ananth =)
I love you Singapore 😘😘😘
Im sure Singapore loves you too 😁
Please do a detailed bus journey of Hong Kong....if you can👍🏼
Haha. That's would be interesting. I guess we would have to wait till HK makes travelling there much easier
972 is really an underrated bus service. I remember when they tried to gut it and many residents along the stretch complained and they reversed their decision. Now there's a 972 and 972M. RIP 700 and 171's original route though.
Thanks for the background tidbit. Didn't realised it was pulled off before. What other double decker rides are worth recording?
@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV I think 10 is also quite good and scenic. It goes from Kent Ridge to Tampines, passing through the CBD area, Stadium, and the shophouses of Katong.
@@SuperValue350 Thanks for the tip. Will keep that in mind. My camera has a battery life of 1 hour so certain routes can't be done until I figure out a good battery pack
The no traffic is excellent. I live in Istanbul and I'm used to traffic jams, so the emptiness of the streets was spooky for a while watching the video :) This is a great way to get familiar with the city.
Thanks BUL 😁 happy to have shared the Singapore streets with you. Haven't personally been to Turkey yet but hope to visit some day 😁 I try to take bus rides on weekdays so I can avoid the traffic jams.
@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV Do not do that in Turkey :) in any day :)
@@bul2595 😂 I will take your advise if I'm ever in Istanbul
43:50 SMRT volvo b9tl has a Sbs transit "Thank you for giving away" sign lol
What's the significance of it? ☺️ Is a volvo better? Or a different king of ride experience?
@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV it mainly refers to the brand of buses, Volvo makes the B9TL chassis, which is the motor for the bus. This one is WEG2 built like London's B9TL buses.
I know this it's service 972 from bukit panjang to orchard mrt
In Malaysia, two lane will become one lane because car will park there especially on residential area
Congratulations Alan another video on Google 👏
Glad to know another has popped out! Guess I can do a couple more of bus rides and build on the success =D
Nice
Thank you Giun ☺️
Absolutely " THE BEST BUS TOUR" of Singapore to date. Most Enjoyable 👍
But most of all was the perfect exposure and colour 👌Not oversaturated like some . Excellent job mate 😎
Thanks for comment 😁 glad to hear the colour is okay
SG ❤❤❤ . ill visit you again soon
SG will await your return 😉
nice
Thank you 😊
It's nice to live there It looks peaceful and secure. If given the chance I want to visit Singapore again .Thanks for sharing I love every minute of it.👣
Hope you will have a chance to visit someday 😁
I wonder if the late Mr. Lee (RiP🙏🏼) was obsessed with road markings.....
Probably. Order was very much his legacy to us 🤗
Kenapa gk macet ya, tidak seperti Jakarta. hehe
Just wandering either the ride is always really this quiet or the bus was empty? Can’t wait for my next visit soon.
I believe it was "semi-packed" during this ride. Only when kids come on board can voices be heard =D
Love these videos. Singapore is incredibly orderly. Does anyone know what the letters and numbers mean on the top of the bus shelters, eg Sagar Rd BO4?
"Segar Rd" refers to the street name (Segar Road), and "B04" is the bus station number (B - bus stop, 04 - bus station #04)
Thanks for replying bubblebeam 🙏😁
The fact that my home is shown in the video....
Glad I managed to give your home some screentime =)
ye thanks
I'm curious, If I want to compare this route with using MRT, Which one is faster?
MRT. You take the downtown line from BP Station and transit to the north-south line to Dhoby Ghaut at Newton Station.
Mrt is faster. No traffic jams
Yup. For morning rush hour avoid this route unless you are OK to kill time coz of slow traffic along the expressways.. worse if there's an accident
This looks similar to Hong Kong
Do a bus journey from orchard road please
It's been requested but instead of Orchard Road I will have to start at a bus terminal (start point) instead. Got to ensure that I get a seat at the front 😅
Is this the Alexander Dennis Enviro500 (2 door) bus?
😅 I really don't know. Its a 2 door bus though
Yes.
I am staying in Senja Bukit Panjang my area
It's a nice area 😁 got a couple of friends living there and they like it
👌👌👌DEVELOPED NATION👌👌👌
Singapore.. TERBIAK
Glad you think so 🙏😁
Singapore seems to have few people on the streets
Probably it's because of the hot weather 🤣
👍👍👍🎥👍👍👍
🙏🙏🙏🤗
I 💖💝❤️💜💕🩷 Singapore 💚🩵💛💓💘

I think the public transport buses in Singapore are way much better, newer, cleaner and dependable than those in London and Hong Kong.
It's been awhile since I took the buses in Singapore and glad to know improvements were done 😁 will try to find the electric double decker ones. I wonder if they have started plying rhe routes in Singapore
not a city it is Hevan.
Happy to know you think so 😁
Bus 972
Wow..I never heard a single horn beep. You must see our Indian traffic. Your ears will hurt.
I can imagine. It sounds really stressful =|
I have been to singapore, It's one of the worst Place to Live, High cost of living(No house, No car) even if you are White Collar Worker. Elderly doing menial Jobs at the age of 80, I was very sympathetic and sad for them, every country Old people retire at 60 but not singapore, old people are doing the Menial Jobs where as Young People are into Speculative(Financial) Economy, One natural Disaster, Drought or war would wipe out most of their speculative eeconomy, it is not sustainable in the long run without resources(Food, water and Energy).
Lol
Sorry to hear you didn't had a good experience here in Singapore 😔 hope everything is well for you
wow you have been to Singapore to experience all that you wrote? you're not in Singapore though lol.
Stunted, skewed image of a country that showed lack of knowledge and understanding lol. Singapore is one of the richest country in the world. It has 2 Sovereign Wealth Fund and reserves of with over $1,000,000,000,000. Covid19 was one of the most disastrous event in recent history that hit the economies of countries all over the world badly. Yet Singapore came out of it relatively unscathed. Unlike countries which have to borrow billions of dollars to fight the pandemic, Singapore just took $ 100,000,000,000 from its reserves to fight it. And what speculative economy. Its one of the world top financial and wealth management centers and countries like the US invest billions in the country, Singapore is not a agricultural country so what famine lol. With money, it can and do buy the best food from all over the world with diversified sources to prevent manipulation/control. FYI Singapore has been with little or no natural resources SINCE its very beginning when it became independent MORE than 50 years ago. Many like u think it is not developed or be sustainable, yet it has succesded, developed and prospered. So much for your misplaced negativity and ignorance.
Dont eat too much sour grapes, its bad for you........
👍👍👍🎥👍👍👍
