I appreciate that you recognize that the clean technique you see in a boxing ring goes out the window once you throw kicks and takedowns in the mix… I’ve seen way too many fans and even coaches dismiss MMA striking and refusing to acknowledge that the different rules and weapons change the game and clean technique. I definitely agree this isn’t going to be a competition. An MMA fighter, even a champion like Ngannou, isn’t going to stand a chance against any real contender in boxing. The same can be said in reverse… Two very different sports and those who become champions spends years of their lives dedicated to perfecting their craft. You can’t just walk into the other sport against top tier competition and expect to be competitive let alone beat the champ.
Your comment made me think of a conversation I saw between Bernard Hopkins and Rashad Evans. It looked like Bernard was trying to give Rashad some technique tips and Rashad was telling him about how wide his stance needed to be to defend and implement takedowns. You could see Hopkins reactions like "Ohhh okay this is a different game completely".
@richardyocum-qi7db Yep, a lot of techniques that work well in boxing can be countered when you can be kicked, taken down, or get hit while holding (dirty boxing or the muay Thai clinch). It's great to have in your skillset, but you have to adjust it for mma.
The outcome didn’t surprise me, Ngannou did better than I expected. Perhaps that can be chalked up to Fury being out for almost a year, but if Ngannou had been more active I think he could have taken it. After this one, I expect and hope to see a rematch.
@michaelkelly4094 Fury being unable to bully Francis in the clinch was also s big factor. You could tell he wasn't used to having someone strong and skilled enough in the clinch to neutralize him.
Well, Francis himself is relatively old too. Still looks good though. And it’s not the speed you’re impressed at, it’s mainly the smoothness. Obviously someone who’s been in the game as long as Tyson is gonna look smoother than Francis at boxing.
Im a boxer, its only the speed. Dude has amateur technique at best it would be absurd to compare his skills with Tyson's, even a retired almost 60 Tyson. People need to understand MMA is Triathlon , Boxing is 100m. You cant put a triathlete to run agains Bolt or Swim against Phelps .@@jesuspernia8031
Totally agree with you coach. Tyson is gonna carry him for a few rounds to give the Saudis (who are paying big money) a show, then he’s gonna knock Francis spark out. But congrats to Francis on his huge paycheque for getting KO’d
Coach, weren’t you going to make a second video to talk about your pick? Would love to see it: maybe the Joshua breakdown? Maybe Francis will get a better chance this time, Joshua’s chin and cardio is not as good as Tyson. Thanks CA
I dont think u have heard that Tyson Fury is in big trouble. It has always been that Francis is in big trouble. Unless u are purposely building up Francis for the video to tear him down. No where have i seen anyone say Tyson is in trouble in all the months leading up to this but i respect everything u do i been following u for years.
I feel like Francis should be focusing on technique, and if he does he will win. Francis hits really really hard, it’s hard to explain but the measurements of his punches by the UFC are in essence closers to kicks than punches. 51,064 foot pounds/per second about the equivalent of being kicked in the head by bantam or middleweight female kickboxer. Now just because he has this doesn’t mean he can channel it correctly and it also doesn’t mean Francis is will versed on defense. Also, if Francis learns from Wilder he will be in better form than Tyson. While Tyson’s style was creative there are more improvements that can be made to Cus Idea. Lastly, Francis is not good at moving, but neither is Fury. Lastly, I don’t know if they sit and trade Francis will win. If Fury is defensive and responsible with respect of Francis power he will win. I will say that if he brings a punch to Fury he’s going to definitely feel it.
Why is everyone dismissing the fact that Mike Tyson has been blown away with Francis in the boxing ring ! Mike Tyson has been with this kid , therefore Mike Tyson would no if Francis was just waisting his time ( Mike Tyson knows what it takes) If he thought his boy didn't have it than he wouldn't be blowing sunshine up his a**. Something is telling Mike Tyson that his boy Francis has a great chance of hurting Fury. Also people forget that Francis has been fighting really top notch fighters in sparing ( their not showing us this ) If you you think that Francis has not been showing Mike Tyson and these experienced boxers something during sparing than think again. Francis has brought the hurt to them. Do you think this whole time Mike Tyson has been preparing his boy with sparing partners that don't box well . Mike Tyson has seen Francis with these boxers and has already answered one of the best champions ( Mike Tyson ) question ❓ Can Francis hurt Fury .
This fight will be the perfect example of why a style isn't for everyone. Tyson's style is the worst one for Ngannou. He's long, slow and has low stamina. Tyson was short, fast, and stamina to rival a Gazelle.
I don’t think Francis can beat the top contenders let alone Tyson Fury. Even older and more over the hill guys like Povetkin and Pulev would beat him in boxing. Andy would take him out, AJ would take him out, Wilder will take him out, and DEFINITELY Tyson will take him to school.

I give Ngannou *maybe* five rounds before he gets knocked out. There is some crossover between MMA and boxing but really they are two different sports and an athlete that has trained his whole career in one will be leagues better at his sport than someone who has only dabbled in it. This is like throwing a NFL player in with Karelin in a wrestling match.
Tyson is training Francis to fight like he did. The peekaboo style isnt for tall fighters to mimic. Every fighter should have some head to upperbody movement. Francis gets stopped in 6.

Francis Ngannou will put Tyson Fury to sleep for sure, Deontay Wilder is 50 pound lighter than Francis, he knocked Fury down four times, when Franics knock Fury down it is fcuking good night!
The only way Francis can win Tyson Fury is to catch him clean with a very powerful head shot or body punch in first or possibly second round. Because I don't know if Francis will have the gas tank to get past third round with Tyson Fury. Once Fury figure out his techniques the only thing he will resolve to his to start playing with Francis in the ring. He wouldn't want to knock him out too early he will want to give the fans something to watch before he Knocks him out. But that too can be very dangerous because Francis may catch him clean at some point and knock him out. Francis has always have issues with his gas tank if a fight is getting too long. And the more you become tired the less the power of your punch becomes. But like I use to say anything can happen in sport expecially combat sport. We might just be in for surprise that will shock the whole world.

Rules make fights, I don't think Fury is going to have much trouble out-boxing him under boxing rules. Ngannou is freakishly strong but his gas tank has been an issue in the past, so I think this one isn't going to last very long, unless they agree to have a semi-worked match like Mayweather and MacGregor.
@@LubovUg I am pretty old and since AT LEAST the 70's people have been saying "this is a weak era" and saying yesterday's fighters were better.
