As for Josie? I wouldn't worry so much about her current closeness. They start to ween themselves off and become more and more independent, as they get older. I encourage Wolfdogs be to close to you when younger, so as to create those bonds. Congrats on staying your first night in, and we all look forward to seeing it, as you start to make it more and more complete.

Her dad has a true gift for house design, and interior design! That house is awesome! Another gift is all the hard work they put into their youtube channels, that affords them the time to custom build their homes like that. Another gift is the relationship Father and Daughter have! He is an amazing father that gave his daughter the time and care he gave her! She is blessed, she knows her self worth, has strong morals and is a nice sweet young lady! It is no surprise that they have such successful channels! They have great content, they are great people to watch. She deserves all the success and blessings she has!!
One of the tricks I used to do with my hunting dogs when they were puppies is give them a windup clock under their bedding. The ticking of the clock simulates the mother's heartbeat. They sleep through the night.
A true gem
We crate trained our dogs too and it helped to give them a treat every time they go inside. After a while we just had to tell them to go home and they would run in and wait for a treat. Covering the crate at night so it felt like a safe cave helped them sleep better.

It's refreshing to hear you give the proper thanks to the men in your life who have done the heavy lifting for building you a beautiful house. I didn't hear a single "I" at all, it was multiple references to your father (daddy) your cousins and uncles. Those words of appreciation and recognition mean everything to a man.
They have raised a wonderful young woman so be proud and hold your head high.
The men may have done the heavy lifting on the house, but I suspect it was Hannah's vision that make the home look so comfortable and inviting.

It's a testament to this young woman's upbringing that she gave credit where credit is due.

Congrats on your first night in the new house. You might try cleaning out one of those energy drink cans, putting a few marble, coins or pebbles in it, tape the opening and keep it within easy reach of the bed When Josie gets goin just quietly pick up the can and shake it a couple times. It should break her from whining and barking pretty quick. It comes in handy when either one of them starts doing something you don't want them to do. Worked great on my Rot. The house looks beautiful. I know y'all are anxious to get it finished and get settled in. Preciate y'all sharing these updates.

We raised wolves for 20 years Hanna,,,, that pup will only be happy when she is sleeping with you. If you're dead set against that,,,, give her a few pet safe stuffed animals. Wolves are a family critter and she wants to be with family.

Puppy advice : move the crate to another room and cover it at night. Puppy needs to get used to being alone in the crate, and you don't need to hear her if she is crying at night. If she is in the bedroom with you she will constantly be "talking" to you. Best of luck with everything.
Agreed. Took my blue tick pup a few nights of crying himself to sleep, but he's all good now.
Ditch the crate.

After training a few ranch canines I've had the most success with using either a different language for commands or sounds (series of tongue clicks and whistles, whistles for the commands like 'come' since they're going to be running around most likely). As far as crate training....not sure if it's ideal as far as training (I'm not an expert by any means) but I always put a ratty towel at a min. in the crate. The hard surface will start to cause calluses on the pooches elbows and it's easier cleanup if there's an accident. If there IS an accident, make sure you cover the scent up best you can.

On ur puppy, start with them early. But in small increments of time say fir example when ur doing something abd u can put the oup in the dog box for 15 minutes. Then just start from their and work on it as they grow and mature into a mature hound and you'll figure it out as u go. Just as long as ur consistent and work on little so called goals fir you and the pup. You will not regret it .

The use of deer antlers for your lighting is an amazing work of art and so appropriate for your new home. Your dad has dome am awesome job constructing your home, he must really love you. I hope his spine is continuing to improve and pray for complete healing.
I've got a tip. Get you a nice top of the line super clean clean dishwasher. I can't stand dishes backing up but I hate washing them even more. I washed mine by hand for 20 years until I moved into an apartment. I hope it don't ever have to go back to that again.
Beautiful house. Those chandeliers are incredible. So is the woodwork in general. That's about as sturdy a home as you can get these days.
