      Aw, thanks! As I said, I'm a big hoarder of buttons. I don't know why, but they're just one of those things that I can barely walk away from at a thrift store. I've gotten better about it since my collection is so large now. Ha. Thanks for watching.

      If making the loop seems troublesome, you might want to just twist the wire then form it into its own hook for hanging! But, the original way is pretty easy too once you go for it. Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions at all! Thanks so much for watching, Shirley!

    Love these! What type of hook do you use after its done?

    • @CraftyHope
      @CraftyHope  Год назад +1

      Thanks so much! It all depends on what I'm using it for. They are great as small Tree Ornaments which just need a regular ornament hanger. But, I've also put ear wires on them to turn them into earrings. And, you can just slide a ribbon through the hole in the top too for either an ornament or as a necklace. It's really all up to you!

    What size are the star beads, please? Would 12-15mm work? If so, where to find these?

    Dee

    • @CraftyHope
      @CraftyHope  Год назад +1

      Dee, The star beads I used just came from Dollar Tree and are in the 10mm range. I've linked some in the description box on Amazon, but they're only 7mm - they're just the closest thing I could find on Amazon. And, the size of the star just depends on the buttons you use. I personally just used what I had on hand. Much like a real Christmas Tree, the size of the star all depends on the tree you have. And, sometimes your star might be too big because you got a smaller tree this year than last year. With that said, 12mm beads might work great and make a bigger statement. It's all personal preference. I say go for it!

    I hope I saw the tree buttons on Facebook and I thought I'd check out how to make them and you are video popped up. What I want to know is do you have to use wire can you use fishing line? Because I have a lot of that

    • @CraftyHope
      @CraftyHope  2 года назад

      Hey, I'm so glad you found me. As for using the fishing line, I have to admit that it's not something I've used for much crafting. If you use crimp beads to secure it, I think it would work. But, I feel much safer using the wire personally, as it's a material I work with often. I'm sorry I can't help more.WIshing you the best!

    do you think to make it shiny and glittery you could use mod podge and sprinkle glitter on the buttons. do you think it would work. thanks!

    • @CraftyHope
      @CraftyHope  8 месяцев назад

      Hmm, it would be worth a shot, especially if they're not going to be handled much. You could also try glitter glue and/or Stickles (brand name). I would personally just try one or two to see how it works out before I did a whole batch of them though. I'd love to hear how it works out for you! Great idea and good luck!

      Hi Terry! I'm so happy you like these little button trees. Thanks for your watch and for the great question. I really should probably add a few links to my products so thanks for that reminder. As for the star beads, I found these (amzn.to/2GkvvEa) that are a metal alloy and do come in several colors like the plastic ones I used. I hope it helps! Thanks again!!
