The thing that bugs me is how its never explained why batman just had that bomb and why he blew it up. It seems against his character even as a zombie.

“Zurr, En, Argh” appears to be a distorted mantra of the last words Bruce’s father said to him before the mugging. Those words were “They’d probably just lock someone like Zorro in Arkham”. This in turn means that Bruce has had nightmares about that night for years and remembers it very well. So it’s probably the only thing he remembers in his damaged state.

Grant Morrison's comics made a reference to that being a deranged 'backup' personality of Bruce, the Batman of Zurr En Arkh. Since 'Zorro in Arkham' kinda sounds like it, this is the alternate explanation they gave for the name.
Zur-En-Arrh During Bruce Wayne’s travels across the globe he was taught how to embed a backup personality within himself. The personality would kick in if he was brainwashed or mind controlled. In Grant Morrison’s Batman: R.I.P. we see just that. Batman loses his mind and his backup personality kicks in named Zurr-En-Arrh. It’s more brutal, insane, manic and cobbles itself a multicolored Batsuit in order to finish the mission so that Bruce can get his mind back again.
tbh out of all endings besides the canon one I think this might be the best. Everyone seems to be happy in a way and Jason is getting the help he needs. Only thing that could make this better is if Bruce managed to heal from the lazarus.

So I did a little digging and find out "Zur en Arh" is actually a thing, and turns out he is actually Batman backup personality, the Dark Knight without Bruce compassion. This is quite foreshadowing, even Jason also said he is danger to everyone, including them, is that mean it is Zur en Arrh that is currently reside in Bruce's body and will merge out in the future hence become their enemy and ended Jason decide to crimefight again to stop him? That would be a cool idea, the creator of this movie really know how to plot

Welp, that's quite literally what happened in a recent Batman comic. Running away from Failsafe, a robot he made that would kill Batman in the event that he killed someone (except this time he was framed), he brought out his backup copy, Zurr En Arrh, that is essentially Batman in his pure form and untethered to his humanity. Basically, the perfect Batman. And while even Zurr En Arrh failed against Failsafe, he eventually found a way to escape from Batman's mind and become himself. He's now running rampant in Gotham, being essentially the perfect Batman.

the happiest ending is the one with Batman talking to Superman about what happened with Jason as Red Hood, that he will keep searching for him. Basically an extended ending of the Under the Red Hood movie.
I love how Jason just throws the helmet and saids tame this instead of doing a bunch of talking he just throws it and detonate.. since it’s common since to do it quick and efficient.

well originally it was a alien version of Batman from the planet Zur En Arrh. In modern times Zur En Arrh was installed into Batman's brain through hypnotic suggestion as a failsafe personality in case his mind ever becomes compromised, with Zur En Arrh being the trigger word for Batman to activate this persona. This way Batman could still somewhat function in Gotham if he ever became compromised, though he was mostly crazy and overly brutal often causing permeant injuries to foes.

Wait, doesn’t the Bat Family have Zatanna on speed dial? Hell, they could also reach out to Dr. Fate or Constantine (the latter of whom has cured Lazarus Pit insanity before, at least on another Earth).
Fate probably would have just refused because Bruce is "just one man". Zatanna probably would be out of her depth dealing with a mind as broken as Bruce's currently is. They may not know where Constantine is (or if they *do* know where he is, they may not be able to reach him). Raven could potentially be able to help, but she may not have occurred to them as an option yet. It's also possible that the "Bat Family" considers this situation a "personal matter" so that they don't want to involve others or ask for help unless they absolutely need to do so. And I think Martian Manhunter would only have been able to offer a temporary reprieve before Bruce's mind reverted to it's current broken state, IIRC Manhunter has tried that very thing to cure The Joker of his insanity and it was only temporary before Joker reverted to his old insanity.
It's possible, but the last time Zatanna went inside a person's mind, Identity Crisis happened. I'd imagine that she wouldn't want to repeat that same mistake. As for Dr. Fate, fixing Bruce's mind would probably require chaos magic that a Lord of Order wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole, and while John Constantine would gladly use said chaos magic, his solution would probably require himself and one or more of the Bat-Family to sign a pact that'd make their soul the personal plaything of some demon in Hell for all eternity, a price that either the Bat-Family wouldn't be able to accept or that Constantine wouldn't want them to pay so that they don't have to go through the same torture he's condemned himself to a thousand times over.
When Bruce says, "Zur-En-Arr" in his damaged state, it represents the "Zorro in Arkham" what his father said to him before his death. This ending is a sign that Batman is regaining his memories. When Bruce gets back on his feet, he will see the records of what Jason did when he was gone.
Batman and Nightwing getting resurected by Lazarus Pits. A proof that Raiden was right about what he said more than once: about fates worse than death.

In the comics, Martian Manhunter can heal mental illness but only for very brief periods, eventually the mind snaps back to how it was before; he once tried that on the Joker.
I said the same thing about Martian Manhunter before searching through the comments. I did not include Doctor Fate, which would be an option. I do not think Zatanna would be helpful in that apartment, maybe.

I still find it hard too believe that they decided in this universe that Bruce can’t handle the effect of the Lazarus pit, as we know he has entered/used the pit numerous times in the comics/shows/movies and come out just fine. Heck, they even once concluded the body they dumped into the pit was not Bruce’s just because it came out with controllable murderous rage. And the pit heal Jason’s mind after his incomplete resurrection in the comic where this movie originated from. I think the creators of this movie just hate us, so they won’t give us a true happy ending no matter how hard we tried :(

It's the Normal ending, where Under the Redhood events happened. If Bruce either arrives early and die or Bruce and Jason lives then the alternative events happens

Been reading the comics religiously only for about a decade. Since Morrison wrote the monthly Batman. If that Zur-En-Arrh was ever broken down in the book, I'd missed it. What a great piece of writing.

In the silver age Zur En Arrh is Batman from a different planet, in pre-flashpoint Zur En Arrh is an alternate personality created by Bruce. In here it seems like his resurrection influenced his mind to go back to his last memory of talking about the Zorro movie with his father, that's damn good writing! For those unaware, Zorro is a Spanish vigilante who fought injustice in Spanish California (old west era basically). Had a sword, espionage skills, and a great fighter. Batman is partly based on him and Frank Miller incorporated this into the origin of them seeing a Zorro movie as a nice reference.

It’s tha name of a planet in dc universe I thought him saying it was an Easter egg reference
well originally it was a alien version of Batman from the planet Zur En Arrh. In modern times Zur En Arrh was installed into Batman's brain through hypnotic suggestion as a failsafe personality in case his mind ever becomes compromised, with Zur En Arrh being the trigger word for Batman to activate this persona. This way Batman could still somewhat function in Gotham if he ever became compromised, though he was mostly crazy and overly brutal often causing permeant injuries to foes.

Well at least this is proof that each robin is better than batman at something. Dick is a better acrobatic, Tom is a better detective, Damian is better at combat, and Jason he has a stronger will power.

If anyone is wondering the reason he says Zor-En-Arh is actually a fail safe that takes control if his mental state is attacked or damaged.
Wait, doesn’t the Bat Family have Zatanna on speed dial? Hell, they could also reach out to Dr. Fate or Constantine (the latter of whom has cured Lazarus Pit insanity before, at least on another Earth).

Fate probably would have just refused because Bruce is "just one man". Zatanna probably would be out of her depth dealing with a mind as broken as Bruce's currently is. They may not know where Constantine is (or if they *do* know where he is, they may not be able to reach him). Raven could potentially be able to help, but she may not have occurred to them as an option yet. It's also possible that the "Bat Family" considers this situation a "personal matter" so that they don't want to involve others or ask for help unless they absolutely need to do so. And I think Martian Manhunter would only have been able to offer a temporary reprieve before Bruce's mind reverted to it's current broken state, IIRC Manhunter has tried that very thing to cure The Joker of his insanity and it was only temporary before Joker reverted to his old insanity.

It's possible, but the last time Zatanna went inside a person's mind, Identity Crisis happened. I'd imagine that she wouldn't want to repeat that same mistake. As for Dr. Fate, fixing Bruce's mind would probably require chaos magic that a Lord of Order wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole, and while John Constantine would gladly use said chaos magic, his solution would probably require himself and one or more of the Bat-Family to sign a pact that'd make their soul the personal plaything of some demon in Hell for all eternity, a price that either the Bat-Family wouldn't be able to accept or that Constantine wouldn't want them to pay so that they don't have to go through the same torture he's condemned himself to a thousand times over.
When Bruce says, "Zur-En-Arr" in his damaged state, it represents the "Zorro in Arkham" what his father said to him before his death. This ending is a sign that Batman is regaining his memories. When Bruce gets back on his feet, he will see the records of what Jason did when he was gone.
I love how Jason used the very same trick that joker used. And I gotta say, its effective.

In the comics, Martian Manhunter can heal mental illness but only for very brief periods, eventually the mind snaps back to how it was before; he once tried that on the Joker.
I said the same thing about Martian Manhunter before searching through the comments. I did not include Doctor Fate, which would be an option. I do not think Zatanna would be helpful in that apartment, maybe.

I still find it hard too believe that they decided in this universe that Bruce can’t handle the effect of the Lazarus pit, as we know he has entered/used the pit numerous times in the comics/shows/movies and come out just fine. Heck, they even once concluded the body they dumped into the pit was not Bruce’s just because it came out with controllable murderous rage. And the pit heal Jason’s mind after his incomplete resurrection in the comic where this movie originated from. I think the creators of this movie just hate us, so they won’t give us a true happy ending no matter how hard we tried :(

It's the Normal ending, where Under the Redhood events happened. If Bruce either arrives early and die or Bruce and Jason lives then the alternative events happens
Bruce is gonna bounce back. One of them will walk in one day and he’ll be talking normally like “would one of you like to explain to me why I just woke up in a box”? Jason will want to let him go but the others will probably say they should play it safe.

Nightwing: I know it’s tough Jason. It’s tough on all of us. But we can’t take any chances. We all know what kind of damage Bruce could do if he’s free and goes crazy again.
Barbara: that’s true but then maybe if that happens we can stop him again before he goes full psycho.
Nightwing: if I’m being honest … I don’t think any of us can take down Bruce. Not if retains most of his intellect. As a mindless drone sure, Jason already proved that even though he almost didn’t make it, but now …I’m not so sure. No he stays in … at least for now. Bruce would’ve wanted it that way.

Bruce: *sigh* in other words I need to research the properties of the Lazarus pit to see exactly how it’s changed my brain now compared to before I entered it so I can find out how to get rid of the crazy for good. Now if you’re done standing there staring I’d appreciate it if all of you were a little more productive and helped. I don’t know when or if I might revert back to my old state of mind so time is of the essence.
Jason: yup he’s back. *sigh* I still have some old underground contacts that I can use to figure out where Talia’s holed up. Dick can run patrols and stay within the perimeter as backup if my meeting spot turns into a trap.

Been reading the comics religiously only for about a decade. Since Morrison wrote the monthly Batman. If that Zur-En-Arrh was ever broken down in the book, I'd missed it. What a great piece of writing.

Let's be real this is the most HONEST ending there is. Not desired, honest. Don't get me wrong Batman is awesome but if someone dresses up as a giant bat and beats up criminals because they became an orphan then yeah, they lost their minds.

In the silver age Zur En Arrh is Batman from a different planet, in pre-flashpoint Zur En Arrh is an alternate personality created by Bruce. In here it seems like his resurrection influenced his mind to go back to his last memory of talking about the Zorro movie with his father, that's damn good writing!
For those unaware, Zorro is a Spanish vigilante who fought injustice in Spanish California (old west era basically). Had a sword, espionage skills, and a great fighter. Batman is partly based on him and Frank Miller incorporated this into the origin of them seeing a Zorro movie as a nice reference.
