It's always a GREAT day when you drop a new flosstube! I am late to this FLosstube party, and honestly, before the Jingle Ball of 2022, I had NO CLUE that so many people are out there who love cross stitching as much as I do. You are my "OG flosstuber" - so isn't that special! Steph, Your process of stitching and designing has taught me that it is important to pick the background fabric that makes you happy. You are the one who invited me to play with personalizing a pattern with different colors and fabrics - something I never even thought was possible. Yoru flags on the ships...so cute! Using anniversary dates on the air mail birds - WHAT? Your fabric parade in this video was so helpful...I have been stalking the internet looking for the best purple background to start The Blue Flower's design called "Huckleberry Farm". I finally found it, thanks to you. I think the "Grey Mauve" you showed off is actually the perfect shade that I am looking for. YAY! Your stitching room looks fabulous - what a great space! I started watching flosstube in December 2019 when I came home from a vacation and was sick for weeks. A friend introduced me and so the many hours of joy watching. I remember your old bedroom. Congrats on the studio!
I stopped making youtube videos because technology was against me every step of the way. Just one thing was it would take 4 days or so to upload a video just for it to end up being corrupted. And since my computer was in my bedroom and would drop internet if it fell asleep or go to screensaver, I had to play music on mute so the computer would stay awake, and so that I could sleep I put a blanket over the screen. I've been thinking of starting up again now we have faster internet, but my computer is now on its last legs, so if I do, it will have to wait a bit longer. It is no small thing you've kept up with it all these years, you have reasons to be proud of yourself!! I can't remember when I started watching flosstube, or who it was. I do remember you stitching that little flower vase pillow, so it was before that! Probably around 2016-17? I discovered flosstube because I had started stitching again and was confused as to some directions on a pattern so I looked up some tutorials. The last time I was into cross stitch youtube wasn't even a thing. Then the algorithm recommended some time lapse videos of cross stitch being done bc at the time I was watching a lot of time lapsed painting videos. Then it was some stitch with me's, and then some honest to goodness flosstubes. Haven't looked back since. Flosstube is so weird though, isn't it?! Most people don't get it. Even the gals in my quilting guild don't understand how videos about other people's cross stitch could be interesting. Its one of the good things about the internet; you can pretty much always find someone else who is interested in what you're interested in, and you can find joy in it together.
I started watching floss tube in 2019. I retired in February from being a flight attendant for 46 years and got back into cross stitch. In October of that year I found out I had breast cancer and the BRACA gene. So as everyone started going into covide I was getting everything taken out. I thank God that I had all my passions sewing, knitting, quilting, and now cross stitch. I love the community. Thanks for asking.
Loved seeing the older pieces. Would love to see older pieces. The pillow was perfect with the imperfect ribbon border. I think I finally started watching floss tube about 2-3 years ago. I stayed away thinking it would be boring, but I am obsessed with watching late at night and not going to bed until 3-4 am.
Yes, to seeing vintage projects!! I think I found floss tube a year ago when I restarted cross stitching. Now.. I’m a hoarder, who’s literally hooked on all things Stitchy. I loved seeing your patterns, what you’ve added to your shop, and the stack of colored lugana! Your interest in when we started watching YT was something I’ve been wondering about lately. I came back to cross stitch in Fall 2015, and my YT history says I watched my first one March 1, 2016. I first watched The Stash Queen and Pam’s Crafty Corner a few days later. I had just discovered a regional FB stitchy group, and I think that is how I discovered FlossTube. I’ve been watching you for ages and my history shows I’ve watched thousands of FT videos. I’m impressed with the business woman you’ve become, especially after pulling off Jingle Ball last December. You Rock! ❤
HA HA HA. Tiny violin playing. 🎻 I think I discovered floss tube at the end of 2020 and I can honestly say it changed my life. Seriously. I was two years short of retiring and although I had no fears whatsoever about being able to keep myself busy, new cross stitch designs sucked me straight down that rabbit hole and I never looked back. You designers are phenomenal. There is something for everyone. So many different styles and colors and beauty. Love it! Hell's yes Steph, Own it. You worked hard to get where you are and as a stitcher I am indebted to you for the wonderful charts you've made available to us and the fun stuff like the Jingle Ball. You my dear are a success. As a 62-year-old childless Iowan, I feel very proud that I even know what "OG" means. Yes, I am very "Original Gangster". lol NOT! I started watching Thea Dueck and Lisa's "Victoria Sampler" videos in 2016. I don't even see those up now on their new website, but I've made seven pieces of hers. Then I got started watching "The Real Housewives of Cross Stitch" from their beginning. I was keeping up with them up until Chelsea gave birth to her firstborn son Cash. Around then I really got into doing needlepoint, crazy quilting and watching Monty Don gardening videos. I found out about you when I was researching Chatelaine videos and you were so fun I kept watching you. I got some grey linen and a very teeny pair of scissors from your shop. I made and framed a beautiful garden piece on that linen for my cousin's August 1st birthday that she really loves. I'm doing two strands over one in petit point nowadays. I love your enthusiasm! :D

I had a pair of bib overalls 50 years ago (in high school...) that I had to purchase in a men's store. I love those things to death. They are still my very favorite pants of all time (in my memory--I don't actually still have them). I started watching flosstubes maybe 1 1/2 years ago, when I got back into stitching. Boy is cross stitch different than 35 years ago. See you in two weeks
Steph, my first memory of your Flosstube was probably around early 2016. My husband was a big talker and became ill and didn’t talk my ear off. I needed to listen to someone who loved talking. I remember you with a piece that was very large with many trees. You always bring me smiles. 😊

I think the first floss tubers I watched were You, Coffee Stitcher (seems like he was like 12 back then lol). Bendy Stitchy, and Pretty Southern. I've always loved how fun and bubbly you always were and still are! It's like I felt like I already knew you for years, the first time I watched your channel! I fell in love with the Frosted Pumpkin's patterns and shopping at 123 Stitch. My taste has changed to all kinds of cross stitch now. I used to make little towels that match my house....not anymore. Thanks to Floss Tube literally being an eye candy store, with all the gorgeous patterns, threads and crazy beautiful fabrics, I fell hard down the rabbit hole. I could probably open a store with the all the patterns I've bought. (PS: I just ordered Golden Delicious with threads from you a little while ago) . Matching doesn't matter to me anymore. If I love it right away, I will probably get it and find a place for it! I know I'm not the only one that feels this way in our Cross Stitchy world! I have surely reached SABLE status. I have even gone as far as getting XST1TCH on my license plate...not kidding! Some one else must have it without the '1' in the middle lol! Thanks for sharing! Hugs! :)
The sunflowers are beautiful. I use to wear overalls when I was younger - I need to buy a pair! I agree the variegated floss is great for the leaves and vine. OMGosh, I used to help my Grandma Georgia and my mom wallpaper all the time. We did the old school kind, had to mix the paste and all that fun stuff. I remember us getting the giggles one time and Grandma dropped a whole sheet of pasted wall paper on my moms head. We did four rooms that summer in between canning and yard work. It was so fun!

I started watching around 2019- right before the pandemic and honestly that threw me straight into it- I too watched Emily C!!! And still do- she is amazing, truly! I was stitching on a blackwork design called "Chasity" that the frog visited recently but back at it again and ready to move foward!

I started watching flosstube years ago with Carolyn Mazzeo, Stitcherista, The Stash Queen and others. I remember Emily's mermaid and I remember your first videos. I also remember trying to convince Barbara Hils to watch flosstube and see what the young people were stitching. As for wanting to see previous completed stitches, I would love to see your mushroom and fern chatelaine. I have had it kitted for years and I'm not getting any younger. I need a kick in the pants to get going on it.

I have known her since college and she used to bring her cross stitch projects to work on during her down time at our job and during classes. I was a resident and she was a commuter . Sadly I did not pick up the hobby until she moved away. But she was my first introduction to Flosstube. Caroline from Off the Grid was my second "OG." Thanks for sharing some of your early struggles. I just found you yesterday. Where have I been. I just finished watching your video. You are so much fun to watch. I’m going to start from the beginning!!!!😊 I stitched in the late 80’s and the 90’s. Just came back in 2020. Wow!!! No more unicorns , ducks and teddy bears. I watch Pan n Stef, Sung Harbor Crafts, Teressa Little Stitcher, Chris cross stitch, and Running with scissors. They are so much fun. To name a few. I was bored watching my husband’s old movies and petting the dogs. I went to my stitch tote, and found a Christmas teddy bear ornament to stitch. My husband said , you’re doing that again!!!! I don’t know how I found floss tube, but what a new life I found. I saw Stitch Con. I said what is that. That re started it all again for me. So much to see and stitch. A brand new life. I stitch by myself. So I enjoy a lot of floss tube. Keep it up. You are a breath of fresh air!!!❤😊 I’ll be seeing your floss tube again.

I found you with the Jingle Ball, which I learned about through following Teresa Kogut. Currently I am stitching the raccoon in the Year in the Woods series. I enjoy stitching animals of all types. I stumbled upon FlossTube after I retired...I had a goal to take a welding class, and after I took my first class, was referred to some welding videos on RUclips, then started expanding what I was watching and found stitching videos a bit before the pandemic as I was starting up my stitching again! So, I started watching by 2019. BTW, took 2 welding courses, made some useful stuff and decided I liked it but not enough to justify getting a welding machine for personal use, then the pandemic shut down in-person classes and I gave it up. Started stitching again after I retired, as I was not on my computer constantly as I had been at work (was afraid I'd get a repetitive motion injury with work + stitching + crochet so shelved the fiber related hobbies for reading until I retired and then did what I wanted!).
I only discovered floss tube in 2021 after first discovering booktube. My very first flosstube I watched was Luminous Fiber Arts. I love that she’s a college professor and crafter.

I literally have the exact same flower arrangement by my sink. One yellow, one red! Chipmunks have enjoyed chomping my low hanging sunflower heads off this summer 😡. I am happy for your new own space. I know what does it mean to be always among others, even relatives, and the need to have a personal nest. I like your flosstube because you are so honest. I started watching flosstube in 2020, because I was living in the Alps and there was a lot of snow, so I have plenty of time in the day to stay inside. I bought a Moira Blackburn kit from Amazon, so IDK how why and how, I stumbled on a Nicola Parkman's flosstube and then I went into the rabbit hole. Had a daily vlog channel that I shared flosstube content too, but never saw it as a flosstube channel, and it wasn't until last year that I started my very own flosstube. My oldies was dee stitcher, orietta stitches and so many more. It wasn't until last year that I found you and many more "oldies" that somehow youtube never showed me. Love all your bird patterns they are awesome!

It's always a GREAT day when you drop a new flosstube! I am late to this FLosstube party, and honestly, before the Jingle Ball of 2022, I had NO CLUE that so many people are out there who love cross stitching as much as I do. You are my "OG flosstuber" - so isn't that special! Steph, Your process of stitching and designing has taught me that it is important to pick the background fabric that makes you happy. You are the one who invited me to play with personalizing a pattern with different colors and fabrics - something I never even thought was possible. Yoru flags on the ships...so cute! Using anniversary dates on the air mail birds - WHAT? Your fabric parade in this video was so helpful...I have been stalking the internet looking for the best purple background to start The Blue Flower's design called "Huckleberry Farm". I finally found it, thanks to you. I think the "Grey Mauve" you showed off is actually the perfect shade that I am looking for. YAY! Your stitching room looks fabulous - what a great space! I started watching flosstube in December 2019 when I came home from a vacation and was sick for weeks. A friend introduced me and so the many hours of joy watching. I remember your old bedroom. Congrats on the studio!
I stopped making youtube videos because technology was against me every step of the way. Just one thing was it would take 4 days or so to upload a video just for it to end up being corrupted. And since my computer was in my bedroom and would drop internet if it fell asleep or go to screensaver, I had to play music on mute so the computer would stay awake, and so that I could sleep I put a blanket over the screen. I've been thinking of starting up again now we have faster internet, but my computer is now on its last legs, so if I do, it will have to wait a bit longer. It is no small thing you've kept up with it all these years, you have reasons to be proud of yourself!!
I can't remember when I started watching flosstube, or who it was. I do remember you stitching that little flower vase pillow, so it was before that! Probably around 2016-17? I discovered flosstube because I had started stitching again and was confused as to some directions on a pattern so I looked up some tutorials. The last time I was into cross stitch youtube wasn't even a thing. Then the algorithm recommended some time lapse videos of cross stitch being done bc at the time I was watching a lot of time lapsed painting videos. Then it was some stitch with me's, and then some honest to goodness flosstubes. Haven't looked back since. Flosstube is so weird though, isn't it?! Most people don't get it. Even the gals in my quilting guild don't understand how videos about other people's cross stitch could be interesting. Its one of the good things about the internet; you can pretty much always find someone else who is interested in what you're interested in, and you can find joy in it together.
I started watching floss tube in 2019. I retired in February from being a flight attendant for 46 years and got back into cross stitch. In October of that year I found out I had breast cancer and the BRACA gene. So as everyone started going into covide I was getting everything taken out. I thank God that I had all my passions sewing, knitting, quilting, and now cross stitch. I love the community. Thanks for asking.
Loved seeing the older pieces. Would love to see older pieces. The pillow was perfect with the imperfect ribbon border. I think I finally started watching floss tube about 2-3 years ago. I stayed away thinking it would be boring, but I am obsessed with watching late at night and not going to bed until 3-4 am.
Yes, to seeing vintage projects!! I think I found floss tube a year ago when I restarted cross stitching. Now.. I’m a hoarder, who’s literally hooked on all things Stitchy. I loved seeing your patterns, what you’ve added to your shop, and the stack of colored lugana! Your interest in when we started watching YT was something I’ve been wondering about lately. I came back to cross stitch in Fall 2015, and my YT history says I watched my first one March 1, 2016. I first watched The Stash Queen and Pam’s Crafty Corner a few days later. I had just discovered a regional FB stitchy group, and I think that is how I discovered FlossTube. I’ve been watching you for ages and my history shows I’ve watched thousands of FT videos. I’m impressed with the business woman you’ve become, especially after pulling off Jingle Ball last December. You Rock! ❤
HA HA HA. Tiny violin playing. 🎻 I think I discovered floss tube at the end of 2020 and I can honestly say it changed my life. Seriously. I was two years short of retiring and although I had no fears whatsoever about being able to keep myself busy, new cross stitch designs sucked me straight down that rabbit hole and I never looked back. You designers are phenomenal. There is something for everyone. So many different styles and colors and beauty. Love it!

I started watching Thea Dueck and Lisa's "Victoria Sampler" videos in 2016. I don't even see those up now on their new website, but I've made seven pieces of hers. Then I got started watching "The Real Housewives of Cross Stitch" from their beginning. I was keeping up with them up until Chelsea gave birth to her firstborn son Cash. Around then I really got into doing needlepoint, crazy quilting and watching Monty Don gardening videos. I found out about you when I was researching Chatelaine videos and you were so fun I kept watching you. I got some grey linen and a very teeny pair of scissors from your shop. I made and framed a beautiful garden piece on that linen for my cousin's August 1st birthday that she really loves. I'm doing two strands over one in petit point nowadays. I love your enthusiasm! :D

I had a pair of bib overalls 50 years ago (in high school...) that I had to purchase in a men's store. I love those things to death. They are still my very favorite pants of all time (in my memory--I don't actually still have them). I started watching flosstubes maybe 1 1/2 years ago, when I got back into stitching. Boy is cross stitch different than 35 years ago. See you in two weeks
Steph, my first memory of your Flosstube was probably around early 2016. My husband was a big talker and became ill and didn’t talk my ear off. I needed to listen to someone who loved talking. I remember you with a piece that was very large with many trees. You always bring me smiles. 😊

I think the first floss tubers I watched were You, Coffee Stitcher (seems like he was like 12 back then lol). Bendy Stitchy, and Pretty Southern. I've always loved how fun and bubbly you always were and still are! It's like I felt like I already knew you for years, the first time I watched your channel! I fell in love with the Frosted Pumpkin's patterns and shopping at 123 Stitch. My taste has changed to all kinds of cross stitch now. I used to make little towels that match my house....not anymore. Thanks to Floss Tube literally being an eye candy store, with all the gorgeous patterns, threads and crazy beautiful fabrics, I fell hard down the rabbit hole. I could probably open a store with the all the patterns I've bought. (PS: I just ordered Golden Delicious with threads from you a little while ago) . Matching doesn't matter to me anymore. If I love it right away, I will probably get it and find a place for it! I know I'm not the only one that feels this way in our Cross Stitchy world! I have surely reached SABLE status. I have even gone as far as getting XST1TCH on my license plate...not kidding! Some one else must have it without the '1' in the middle lol! Thanks for sharing! Hugs! :)

OMGosh, I used to help my Grandma Georgia and my mom wallpaper all the time. We did the old school kind, had to mix the paste and all that fun stuff. I remember us getting the giggles one time and Grandma dropped a whole sheet of pasted wall paper on my moms head. We did four rooms that summer in between canning and yard work. It was so fun!

I also remember trying to convince Barbara Hils to watch flosstube and see what the young people were stitching. As for wanting to see previous completed stitches, I would love to see your mushroom and fern chatelaine. I have had it kitted for years and I'm not getting any younger. I need a kick in the pants to get going on it.

I am jealous that you can wear your daughter's discarded clothing. Not me!!!! I couldn't get one leg in my girls' or my boys' pants. Anyway, I started watching You-tube (in 2019) because of my brilliant and talented friend, Jan Hicks. I have known her since college and she used to bring her cross stitch projects to work on during her down time at our job and during classes. I was a resident and she was a commuter . Sadly I did not pick up the hobby until she moved away. But she was my first introduction to Flosstube. Caroline from Off the Grid was my second "OG." Thanks for sharing some of your early struggles. I am so glad you persevered because otherwise I wouldn't have had such fun watching your videos. You always make me smile. I really need to get over the fear of FFOing and just do it. I stitched in the late 80’s and the 90’s. Just came back in 2020. Wow!!! No more unicorns , ducks and teddy bears. I watch Pan n Stef, Sung Harbor Crafts, Teressa Little Stitcher, Chris cross stitch, and Running with scissors. They are so much fun. To name a few. I was bored watching my husband’s old movies and petting the dogs. I went to my stitch tote, and found a Christmas teddy bear ornament to stitch. My husband said , you’re doing that again!!!! I don’t know how I found floss tube, but what a new life I found. I saw Stitch Con. I said what is that. That re started it all again for me. So much to see and stitch. A brand new life. I stitch by myself. So I enjoy a lot of floss tube. Keep it up. You are a breath of fresh air!!!❤😊 I’ll be seeing your floss tube again.

I started watching floss tube like many did in the summer of 2020. My OGs were Anna at Stitch Roadies and Lori Holt (probably because l am also a quilter), which quickly led to Kimberley Jolly. I found you with the Jingle Ball, which I learned about through following Teresa Kogut. Currently I am stitching the raccoon in the Year in the Woods series. I enjoy stitching animals of all types. I stumbled upon FlossTube after I retired...I had a goal to take a welding class, and after I took my first class, was referred to some welding videos on RUclips, then started expanding what I was watching and found stitching videos a bit before the pandemic as I was starting up my stitching again! So, I started watching by 2019. BTW, took 2 welding courses, made some useful stuff and decided I liked it but not enough to justify getting a welding machine for personal use, then the pandemic shut down in-person classes and I gave it up. Started stitching again after I retired, as I was not on my computer constantly as I had been at work (was afraid I'd get a repetitive motion injury with work + stitching + crochet so shelved the fiber related hobbies for reading until I retired and then did what I wanted!).
I only discovered floss tube in 2021 after first discovering booktube. My very first flosstube I watched was Luminous Fiber Arts. I love that she’s a college professor and crafter.

I literally have the exact same flower arrangement by my sink. One yellow, one red! Chipmunks have enjoyed chomping my low hanging sunflower heads off this summer 😡. I started watching flosstube in 2020, because I was living in the Alps and there was a lot of snow, so I have plenty of time in the day to stay inside. I found flosstube in 2018. I remember one of the first ones I watched was Candy’s flosstube. She doesn’t make them anymore.
I wish I had found you in 2015 when my eyes were really good! I discovered you in 2019 after finding Stitching With the Housewives and realizing cross stitch doesn't have to go to a framer any longer! I love your color pallet and bird-love! Keep on being you!
My birthday is next week too (9th)! And you are right, I am still thinking on what my birthday start will be! I have had the "starties" lately. I decided that I would just start what I wanted and have fun. Love the mint green fabric! You enabled me to go straight over to Etsy and purchase Solomon's Sampler. I think I will change the colors, maybe I will start it for my birthday!!
I found FlossTube in the beginning of lockdown. The first person I found was Caroline of Off the Grid Needlearts. Now I still watch her and Stitchin Monmy and you and Misty and so many more.

So wonderful to take a ride down memory lane! I started looking at flosstube in 2014. Had a daily vlog channel that I shared flosstube content too, but never saw it as a flosstube channel, and it wasn't until last year that I started my very own flosstube. My oldies was dee stitcher, orietta stitches and so many more. It wasn't until last year that I found you and many more "oldies" that somehow youtube never showed me. Love all your bird patterns they are awesome!

I started watching floss tube in 2019. I had some major losses that year and quit knitting and went back to cross stitch (which I hadn't touch since 2005) as a way to soothe my soul and comfort myself.
