Tiberias, Israel PWA Windsurf Windfoil Worldcup 2021 | Andy Laufer

That Worldcup on Sea of Galilee (See Genezareth) has written history. Fin and foil for the 1st time ever together in pretty gusty but nice conditions. Winds between 10 and 30 knots most of the time, water temperature was around 28, air around 35 degrees.
We had to use foil in order to keep the stuff planing. Nicolas Goyard from France is already in another level of foil windsurfing. The rest of the fleet has to catch up, especially in strong foil conditions.
The organisation among Arnon Dagan was perfect, the country is absolutely beautiful and the people are sooo friendly!

FRA 465 - Nicolas Goyard - is this a joke ?
All the talk thus far has been about one man… Nicolas Goyard (Phantom Boards / Phantom Sails / Phantom Foils), and rightly so. The 2019 Foil PWA World Champion has been in a league of his own, so much so that the 25-year-old has earned a tremendous event victory with a day to spare, such has been his level of dominance here.

Thanks Jochen! Yes foils will be the future in lightwind racing. The problem in Israel was, that it was super gusty. No chance for the fin against foil. If we have constant winds for 7.8 the fins will be still in front... still :)

kabbelwasser wie am Bodensee , nur mehr Foiler unterwegs.....super Video , mal eine andere Version wie Livestream , den ich angeschaut habe.Schade das es nicht besser geklappt hat , aber Respekt das alles auf sich zu nehmen - du hattest sicher Deinen Spass und hast den Bodensee in 100% Vertreten.......Alles Gute bis dann ....mach keinen Blödsinn......Roland

Danke Roland! Ja waren krasse Bedingungen, wie am Walensee mit "Helikopter Böen". Aber hat einen riesen Spaß gemacht und viel auf dem Foil dazu gelernt. Jetzt noch die Halsen durchfliegen, dann passts. Bis zum Ende des Jahres sollti des dann auch könne :) Grüßle
