I have grafted four different varieties of Plumeria on one plant & enjoy the bloom & varied fragrance! Intend grafting a red one now this summer. Graft does NOT take in winter.
rsrawat1947 hi I'm from Guyana and I have never try grafting plumeriya I have four colour and I want to try it how long after it takes to heal together thank you
Aloha Mark. Recently, our local landscape service guy weed whacked under my big Plumeria tree. In the process, he severed a runner that was rooted in the ground. This runner leads up to newly forming branch on the tree. A six inch section of the runner was taken right out. I have an idea to connect both ends of runner back together by scavenging a runner section from another tree nearby. Is it possible to graft a runner? It's about 1/4 inch in diameter.
Thanks for the great video. We live near LA (close to beach with cooler temps around 75 degrees mostly). It’s july end. Is it the right time to do grafting? After grafting, should I leave the plant in full sun or partial shade?
The best reason to graft is to put weaker stock that has the blooms you want on strong root-stock, especially seedlings. These can have very strong roots.
Thanks Mark! im guessing im going to ask a stupid question but, let's say for example i want to graft on a pink to a White tree. So ONLY on that stalk from that point on will be... a whatever mixture. I mean, it doesn't go backwards and out to other stalks right? Im sorry, i build cars for a living but im learning for my niece because she loves to garden.
Yes, it won't travel back into the rest of the plant - the end of the new branch, from the graft onwards, will remain pink. The branches of the old tree will remain white.
This is wonderful. I thought that could be done. Can you use florist tape? Where do you get grafting tape? Can't wait to try this. I need to get my plumeria to GROW!
muy interesante aca en la paz B.C.S.Me'xico la conocemos esta planta como JAJALASUCHI no sabia que se podian injertar lo cual me parece muy interesante aca tenemos de todos ls colores?????? muchas gracias por su video me parecio muy interesante.
Mark, is it possible to add branches to a plumeria stalk? I currently have one plumeria with a single stalk growing straight up and another with a "Y" shape. It would be nice to add branches to them before putting it in the ground.
I did the same way you did but too much sap coming out. I didn't see any sap coming out from your branches. Anyway my grafting failed and it also killed the main branch
Awesome video, I live in 33543 and have an established pink plumeria that I think will be getting some red and yellow highlights soon, Thank You so much. I need tomato help if anyone has a suggestion.
when plumeria branch is air layered and when rooting takes place , the branch is trimmed below the root and is planted into a pot or groung , does it rot , are there any chance of rotting of the stem below roots ???? if yes then how to avoid ?? looking to hear from the video uploader himself .. PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS
take the 15 north all the way to the 10, go west till you get to the 57, once you get there buy or rent a new place and you are set....it never gets below 50 degrees there...that would be my best suggestion...

Was there a purpose for the rubber band? Excellent video BTW, I've got 4 different color Plumerias that I plan on grafting.

Very interesting. I have a white and a pink. Maybe this is a good idea. Do you actually have a plumeria garden?

Can i put two plumerias cuttings tied with rubber band and plant them???
I used plant tape (green stretchy tape people use to tie plants) I planted them that way before & it worked. Good luck.
I live in murrieta, ca. Hot in summer but 28 degrees in winter. Any suggestions?
Nice bro
how long after grafting it will heal
it's indoor plant or outdoor ?
how much days to joint it
Scion 'ˈsīən' the 'c' is silent.. just sayin'. Good video.
N
What did you do with the rubber band?
Rubber band can be used to hold graft together snugly before wrapping with grafting tape.
that is not a "wedge" graft
its pronounced "si-on" not "sky on" lol
Lástima que hablas en inglés!!!!!
Thank you for sharing Sir!
thanks
