- Another bike and another comp!
After building this bike with a common brake set up that is used on 20" trials bikes I headed to round 2 of the Scottish Nationals to put it and myself to the test!
I won't spoil it by saying how I got on, you'll just have to watch the video.

You should make a video explaining the rules of a trials comp and how to navigate a trials course. I don't have any competitions near me, and have always wanted to set something up with my friends, but don't know how, and can't find any good videos explaining the rules and how to navigate a trials course.

Congratulations.... I've been wanting to get into trials but I ride BMX so I only do trials on a BMX and sometimes a 29". It looks like a lot of fun and the people seem decent.... Great video, thanks.

Perfect timing for a comp video. I'm 7 days from going to see my first ever trials comp at the UCI C1 and North American champs in Bentonville Arkansas. Its not to late for you to buy a plane ticket! If you cant make it I guess I'll have to settle for watching Jack Carthy.

Have you tried a real modern comp bike for any amount of time? I mean those funny things with rollerblade wheels and stems longer than some parts of my body. Which is to say very very long.
Do you feel that being on the smaller side helps or hurts your performance in competition?
Me personally? I’m 177cm (5’10”) so not really short or tall, pretty average.
I do think being tall can be an advantage for comp style riding but there’s plenty of shorter riders who still kick ass and in street trials there’s lots of shorter riders who are especially good!
